Queen beneath Fili

Fili and Ledia Speak

You are sleeping peacefully but you are woken up very rudely by Fili and Kili. They both yell in your ears. You shoot right up and instinctively punch them both in the nose. They both fall back and moan is pain. You hear Gandalf laugh.

"Why would you punch us?" Kili asks as he and Fili get back up holding their now bleeding noses.

"Why did you scream in my ears?" You say rubbing your knuckles. You walk over to Fili and kiss him gently on the cheek

"Sorry love." You say innocently and you skip over to the table where everyone else is sat. They all laugh as the boys come and sit by you.

Beorn is there. He is very tall. He begins to tell you about himself and everyone listens. You are only half listening. You are looking and Fili. The sunlight hits him just right. He is glowing. You stare lovingly at him. He turns to you and smiles. You do to break eye contact for a long time.

Suddenly you realize everyone is staring at you. You snap out of it and take a sip from your drink.

"Come with me." Fili says grabbing you by the hand and dragging you outside.

You hold hands and walk together outside. The light breeze feels good with the sun hitting your face.

"I'm sorry I punched you." You say

"It's fine, it was my fault. It was my idea." Fili says kissing your hand.

"You are forgiven."

He smiles and you giggle.

"I had a dream last night."

"What about." He asks

"The last time we had seen each other." You look up at him. His eyes look like he was filled with pain.

"The mud incident?" He asks

"Yes" you answer as you both stop. He turns you so you to are face to face.

"That wasn't the last time I saw you." He whispers

"What do you mean?" You ask

"Well I was on my way to see you with Kili and then the orcs attacked. My brother and I ran and got our swords. But we were to late. One had you over its shoulder. I saw you being taken away, and I couldn't do anything." He stopped and you saw a tear go down his face. You wipe the tear away. And push up his chin so he is looking into your eyes.

"I'm here now." You whisper

He pushes his lips onto yours. You two stay there for a while then pull away.

"I promise you I will never let you out of my sights again. I would rather die then let that happen."

He holds you close and then you both return to everyone else.

"We set out tomorrow." Thorin says when you two return.

You both nod. He squeezes your hand as you both begin to prepare for the journey again.
