The cold water stung. You could hear muffled talking above. Some shouts. You feel fish being dumped on top of you. You squeal and all of a sudden it stops. The boat begins to move and Bard stomps twice, letting you know you can breathe. You come up and gasp for air quietly. You keep your face out of the water and Bard looks down at you. He smiles and nods at you. You climb up onto the boat and you roll up into a ball. Bard takes his jacket and tosses it towards you. You take it and smile at him. He smiles back and continues to direct the boat. You sit up against the side of the boat trying to stay hidden. Bard begins to knock over the barrels with your company inside. They spill out with the fish. Some begin to climb out.

A man stands and watches. Bard pays him off and directs you under the houses. There are people out and about and you know some saw you but that didn't even phase you. A young boy ran up to Bard and said,

"Da, our house is being watched." Bard looks back at us.

You quickly formulate a plan.

Bard and his son leaves.

Bain, Bards son, comes and tells you you are clear to enter Bards house. You all come in though the toilet. Fili pulls you up and you go up the stairs. Bains eyes follow you as you climb the steps. His daughters see you and the both make the biggest smiles.

"There's a woman!" The youngest says excited.

"Your soaked!" The older one exclaimed. "Come, you look about my size, let's get you into something dry." Before you could protest, the girls drag you into a separate room and help you get changed. The older girl gave you and old white tunic and a beautiful pair of blue pants. They were a bit long, but fit snug. The younger girl took your jacket and hung it in front of the fire in the other room. The older one saw that your feet were smaller than hers so she rummaged under her bed and pulled out lovely shoes that went just above the ankle. The black leather, barley worn shoes slid on and fit perfectly.

"They were my mothers shoes." She says as she brushed your hair, taking out the braids and brushing your knotted hair. She leaves it down and natural.

"I can't take them then" you say as you go to take them off.

She stops you.

"They were given to me, they never fit. Same with my sister. You keep them. They were made to be worn."

You smile at her and nod in thanks. You walked out as the "weapons" were being thrown back into the table. You see Kili go and sit down. Obviously in pain. You look at him worried. The older girl brought you to eat with her in the kitchen. Fili's eyes followed you as you walked with her. You smile and him and he smiles back. The guys get back to talking and once you are out if earshot, both of the girls look at you with goofy smiles. You look up from the food they gave you.

"What is it young ladies?" You ask raising an eyebrow.

They look at eachother then back at you.

"Is it the blonde one?"

"It must be, he keeps looking at her."

"But the one with the brown hair is cuter."

"But the blonde one looks older!"

"What's he like?"

"Are you married?"

The girls questions came at you, and never stopped flowing. You cover their mouths and laugh.

"If you can keep your lips shut long enough I'll tell you."

They both squeal and look at you with wide eyes.
