Part 17

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Aliya asks while we were going down in the elevator for the meeting in Karan's room.

"No I am not." I reply, trying to hold back my smile. After waking Aliya up, we went to the hotel's restaurant and had sandwiches. Aditya had already made the arrangement for the cake. He had also informed everyone else about it. All we had to do was keep our mouth shut for the next few hours and watch Aliya snap at everyone who came in her way.

Aliya simply huffs in annoyance and walks out of the elevator. As she walked out, she accidentally bumps into a man, making her phone slip out of her hands.

"Watch it dude! Are you blind?" She snaps as she picks up her phone.

"I'm sorry, didn't see you there." The man replies.

Aliya huffs again and walks past the man giving him a rude look.

"Aliya!" I exclaim, shocked with her attitude, I quickly apologize to the man. "I'm so sorry for her behaviour. She's a bit cranky today."

"Oh it's no problem. I guess we all have such days." and with that he walks into the elevator and we both watch Aliya knock on one of the doors.

"Have a nice day." I smile back at the man and as the elevator doors close with a ping.

I walk through the corridor and enter into the room. It is just like the other rooms, but only crowded. The entire Dream Team and The Dazzling are here, some squished on the sofa, some standing, while the others sit on the floor.

"Hey guys!" I greet and hug almost everyone in the room and go to the only person I was waiting to hug and kiss. Salman, who is standing behind the sofa.

"Hey babe." Salman says with a smile as he pulls me close and kisses my lips.

"Oh how much I missed you."

I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks.

"Liar, you didn't even miss me a bit." I tease, kissing him back.

"Ahem-Ahem."

When I turn around almost everyone is staring at us.

"What!" I snap and they all start laughing.

"Urgh! Go get a room." Nora teases.

"Oh! So you both are the lovebirds Nora keeps referring to." Varun says with a grin.

"Oh! Don't listen to her. Shut up Nora!" I stick my tongue out.

"How mature?" Nora replies with a chuckle.

"Are we all here?" A voice comes from one of the rooms. And a second later, Karan walks out of what I think is the bedroom and sits down on one of the sofa chairs.

"Okay, here's how this is gonna go." and with that the meeting begins.

The meeting went on for an hour. Karan explained everything in detail as to how things were going to work for the next two weeks and how things were going to get hectic.

"Any questions?" Karan asks finally. When no one replied, he claps his hands together, "Okay, there's one more thing before we leave. Bring it in!"

And with that the main door opens and a waiter walks in pushing the serving cart. As he rolls it in and we see the delicious and rich looking chocolate cake with something written on it. He stops the cart in front of the sofa and places the cake on the coffee table. And I could finally see what is written on the cake.

'Shit you're old!'

I burst out laughing and fits of giggles and laughter erupts around. I immediately turn my face to look at Aliya who is laughing but I could also see her eyes glistening with tears.

"Shit you're old! Who's the genius?" Siddhart says as he takes a picture of the cake.

"Aditya of course. Who else would it be?" Yatan says with a hearty laugh.

"Happy birthday dear sister! I hope you like the cake." Aditya winks and walk towards Aliya who was standing next to Jay near the door. Aditya takes her hand and pulls her to come and stand in front of the cake. People get up to make place for the birthday girl. He makes her sit down and hands her a knife.

"Since morning you've been snapping at everyone for not remembering your birthday and now that we are celebrating you are quiet!" I say as I sit down next to her.

"I love you guys! I just didn't expect it." Aliya sobs, wiping her tears with her sleeves.

"Well duh! That's the point of a surprise you dumb head." Jay says as he smiles down at his girlfriend.

"And we love you too!" Kiara says.

All of us come closer to the coffee table and sing her the birthday song. She cuts the cake and goes around giving everyone a hug and a slice of it.

"Thank you soo much guys. I really appreciate it." Aliya says through tears.

"Well that's not the only thing that we planned. You see, we have another surprise for you." Aditya says with a devilish smile spread across on his face.

Aliya's eyes go wide. She looks back and forth from Aditya to me.

"Oh yeah! And I know you're gonna love it." I take out the envelope from my pocket and wave it in front of her.

She walks slowly towards me and takes the envelope from my hand. As she opens it, Aditya and I take out our mobile phones to record her reaction. At first, her expression is completely blank. But then slowly, she raises her eyebrows and starts sobbing harder.

"OH MY GOD! OH SHIT! YOU GUYS DIDN'T! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!" she screams jumping up and down with the tickets still in her hands.

"Well, what is it?" I hear someone ask.

"ONE DIRECTION CONCERT TICKETS!"
