Chapter 5

Emane

I don't try to go after her. I know it's useless. So instead, I look at the girl who randomly started talking to me. She's quite pretty really. Maybe she's friends with Violet a voice tells me at the back of my head. So I say the first thing that pops in my head. 'Are you friends with Violet Markey?',

'V?', the girl asks with suspicion, 'Why do you ask? Have you met her already? If you do? Have you talked to her yet?', the girl asks all these things in one breath, 'By the way, my name's Amanda Monk and you don't need to tell me your name, I already know.' Amanda states with a flick of her honey coloured hair. 'Um, yes I know her. She said she would be my guide to take me around the school. The reason I'm asking you is because she ended up screaming at me because I called her Ultraviolet Remarkeyable. Doesn't she like to be called nicknames?' I ask Amanda. She stares at me and starts to shake her head, 'Idiot, idiot, idiot. That was what Finch used to call her. Violet probably got upset because it was like a special bond between them.' Amanda says with a roll of her eyes. You are such a moron. WHY did you have to call her that, you could have said that you understood what she was going through, but instead you have to go and tell her you're going to calling her something else! I scold myself. Without waving or saying goodbye, I saunter off, and I don't look back. 

Violet

I'm immediately sorry once I'm out of the room. He obviously didn't know that I was sensitive whenever someone said anything that even rhymed with that name! Emane didn't deserve to be yelled at, especially by me. For goodness sakes! He's new here! I think there is something seriously wrong with me. I am Violet Markey, and I will not be afraid.
