After Jovie left, Aidan sat there for sometime and remembered what Edric had told him.
"You're free to go now. I'll take care of everything here but just remember, never trust anybody completely, not even yourself."
Soon he started walking back to his house.

Jovie made her way back to the apartment where she stayed with Lucy. She couldn't help but think about the guy near the lake. A small smile formed on her face as she recalled their conversation. His voice was deep and powerful yet warm and comforting at the same time.
She walked in and looked at the watch. It was only 5 a.m.. She still had 2 hours before getting ready for school. She decided to take a nap before jumping into the day.
Just as her eyes felt heavy her alarm had to ring.
Did I even sleep?
She got up from the bed, took a quick shower and put on a plain grey v-neck top pairing it with black skinny jeans and sneakers. She tied her hair in a high ponytail and was ready to go. She never really looked at her reflection in the mirror because it reminded her of her mother.
She looked at Lucy and rolled her eyes.
"Wakey wakey baby". She said in a sweet voice smacking Lucy's bum.
"Don't bring out your inner hoe now." Lucy grumbled.
"Your fat ass is gonna be late again." She chuckled.
"That's called thicc, slim ass like yours won't understand and let me fucking sleep." Lucy shouted.
"Oh look you're having a call from Ethan." She said taking Lucy's phone and walking away.
Lucy's eyes were wide open now. "Give me the fucking phone."
"When you're ready come and get naa na naa." She started singing.
Lucy got up furiously and chased her but only Lucy was tired from this.
"Slim ass like me can run quickly." She grinned. "And we're done with your todays exercise. You look pretty active now."
She gave back Lucy's phone and started walking out to the kitchen.
"You liar. I am gonna kill you once I get my hands on you." Lucy shouted.
Breakfast and couple of fights later they both reached school. School was at like 7-8 minutes distance from their apartment.
They successfully completed 3 periods before lunch without falling asleep and walked straight to cafeteria once the bell rang.
"Look, your lover boy's waiting for you." Jovie winked at Lucy.
"Shut up, bitch." Lucy elbowed her as they walked to the already occupied table.
Ethan Warren, son of David Warren and soon to be owner of Warren merchandise was waiting for them.
Jovie, Lucy and Ethan have been childhood friends. Everything was fine until Lucy's and Ethan's love started blooming. Though Lucy never admitted her feelings and they're not in a relationship yet Jovie feels like third wheeler between two love birds.
Ethan was looking at Lucy like she's the most beautiful thing ever. She was wearing a black and white checked skirt with black thights underneath and a plain black top and black boots. Lucy is a kind of person who invests hours in her outfit though she looks fine even when she wakes up in the morning.
"Girl, he's totally checking you out." Jovie grinned.
"Will you stop embarrassing me?" Lucy give her a stfu-bitch look.
They sat accross the table. Lucy and Jovie sitting together and Ethan on their opposite.
"So, how was the day so far?" Ethan asked looking at Jovie.
"It was boring as usual. Only fun part was teasing Lucy with your n-" Suddenly Lucy started coughing.
"Are you alright?" Ethan asked Lucy giving her a worried look and Lucy giving Jovie a say another word and I'll kill you bitch look.
"Yeah, I am fine." Lucy nodded with a smile.
"So, what were you saying?" Ethan turned to Jovie.
"Nothing. It was just boring." Jovie said quietly suppressing her laughter.
"How was yours?" Ethan asked Lucy.
Before Lucy could answer Jovie answered instead.
"It was pretty fun for her. Some senior guy sent her a letter and asked her out. Lucy was totally impre-"
Before Jovie could complete her sentence Lucy pinched her from below the table.
But that didn't change anything. Ethan had already heard her and gave Lucy a questioning look and Jovie was silently laughing at them.
"Anyway, Lucy's single so anybody can have a chance to ask her out." Jovie said looking at already red Ethan.
He turns into a tomatoe whenver Jovie talks about Lucy.
Lucy was a hot mess and Ethan was perfectly hot. They were kinda made for each other but still Ethan hadn't asked her out yet and knowing Lucy she'd never take a first step.

After lunch, they moved to their respective classes and finished their day but Jovie still had to go to her part time job before finishing her day.
She walked to the library where she worked and greeted her boss, Mrs. Piper. She started her job by keeping the messed up books in their shelves.
That's when she heard Mrs. Piper say. "Jovie, can you bring a book about amnesia and memory loss from the shelf?"
"Sure." She replied.
Amnesia and memory loss? Might be some doctor. Who cares.
As she raised her hand to take out a book from the top shelf, she felt a presence behind. The person behind her took out the book for her.
She turned around to see who it was and to her shock it was none other than.
