Helena looked around, confused. She blinked multiple times, and she pinched herself to make sure she wasn't creaming that curdle.
Kidding, kidding.
It was to make sure she wasn't dreaming.
Helena took in a deep breath and told herself it was just a dream, but a small voice in her head told her otherwise. The rest of her day she tried to focus on anything but the mysterious man, but every once in a while she would see the parade float.
"Helena? It's time for your math lesson!" She sighed and said, "Coming, mom." She stood up and walked downstairs, then sat beside her mother. "Okay, so..." Her mother began to explain something, but Helena didn't know what. Her mind kept drifting back to the mysterious man, and the float. What was that place, and why did she see it? Was it a once in a lifetime thing? "Helena?" Her mother's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. "What?"
"Can you answer the problem?" Helena shook her head, and her mother sighed. "What's going on? You normally always pay attention."
"Just tired, is all." Her mother nodded. "Right. Well, if you're tired, then you can head back upstairs. You'll just have to catch up tomorrow." Helena nodded, then ran up the stairs, into her room. She shut the door and laid down on her bed. She decided to look at more dank memes to see if she could go back to that place. She found one that made her laugh like crazy. She closed her eyes. When she opened them, she was back.
