I stared at my phone. No, no, no, no. This cant be happening to me. I've seen things like this on the news. Kids getting weird texts and calls then being kidnapped. No, no, no, no. My heart started racing. My parents were out of town on a trip and would be home alone all week. Should I call 911? As if the stalker read my mind I got another text.

Don't think about calling the police or telling any one. I will take away everything you love.

I started panicking. "Its ok Alex. Just calm down." I mumbled to myself. I went down the stairs and locked every window and every door. Then I went up stairs and locked all the windows up there. By the time I was done it was late so I locked the door to my bedroom and climbed into bed. It took hours, but eventually I fell into restless sleep.

In the morning I woke up and went down the stairs. There were no new texts so I felt slightly better. I got my stuff together and walker to the bus. Today I stayed on the main road instead of my short cut through the woods. I watched everything very carefully and turned my head every time I heard a  twig snap or a rustle in the leaves. I made it to the bus stop and got on my bus. The beginning of the day ticked by so slowly because I was terrified. "Hey Alex, are you ok?" Jamie asked me as I sat down to my seat in social studies. "Oh uh ya im fine" I replied. "Oh ok" I turned to look at the door just as Griffin walked in. He smiled at me. I tried to smile back, but I was too paranoid.

The bell rung, but today I wasn't excited to go home. I slowly walked to my bus. "Alex!" I turned around to see Destiny and Max walking to the bus together. "H-Hey" I say to them. "Are you ok you look kinda paranoid?" Destiny asked me. "Oh Im fine. Just tired that's all."  Well it wasn't a complete lie. I barely got any sleep last night I was so freaked out. I walked with them till I reached my bus. "Bye" I said to them" "See ya"

I sat down on the bus and waited anxiously till we got to my stop. I got off the bus and started walking home. The thing that sucks about where I live is that they is never any one out side or driving on the road which means If I got kidnapped right now no one would notice. I was uneasily towards my house. I started hearing rustling in the leaved like some one was following me. I started having a panic attack. Then I did the only thing I could think of. I ran. As soon as I started sprinting I heard footsteps behind me.

I didn't want to, but I knew if I was going to outrun this stalker person I would have to drop my back pack. As I ran I slid the straps off my arms and threw it behind my back. I heard a satisfying thud as my backpack hit whoever was behind me. I wanted to turn around and see who it was, but that would only slow me don. So, I kept on running. I didn't hear any more footsteps behind me so I ran off to the side of the road over to where the woods began.

I was breathing heavily, so I leaned against a tree to catch my breath. I look around and I could see no one else. I sighed in relief and started walking towards my house. I kept looking in all direction expecting to see someone. I guess the decided to leave me alone and go away. I smiled at that thought. I was almost home when I heard a voice from behind.

"Where do you think your going. You cant get rid of my that easy, Lex." I stopped frozen. I was to scared to turn around. My nickname. Lex is the nickname that.. No It cant be. I was so afraid that I couldn't move. Then I heard him walk towards me and that gave me the strength to run. I tried, but I only got 4 feet when a hand clamped around my mouth. I tried to scream. I felt a cloth go over my mouth. "Sweet dreams" is all I heard as the chloroform took over and my body went limp.
