Chapter 18: Amnesia and Going Home

Alexs POV

I opened my eyes and looked around. Where am I? Who am I? I saw a boy sleeping in a chair beside the bed I was in. He was cute, but I didnt know who he was. I reached over and taped him on the shoulder.

"Alex?" He mumbled in a deep voice.

If that my name? Am I Alex? I gave a look of confusion which then made him worried. He pressed a little button on the wall and soon some nurses came in. They all smiled at me and I returned the smile.

"Excuse me?" I asked the boy.

"Yes." He said.

"Im sorry but who are you?" For some reason his face lit up when I said that instead of getting sad like i expected for not remembering him.

"Im your boyfriend. Its me Griffin. Weve been dating for 3 years. Please remember me!" He pleaded.

I didnt remember him at all. He says hes my boyfriend. Should I believe him? Why would he lie about something like this of course im going to believe him. I smiled. He grabbed onto my hand and I held his tight. Not wanting to let go. The nurses ran some tests then said I was free to go.

"Why was I in the hospital?" I asked Griffin.

"Umm... you... fell." He sounded unsure of himself.

"Oh uhh ok."

He held my hand as we walked to the car. Im not gonna lie it was pretty weird. I dont know him. I mean im sure I do but I dont remember him. We got in his car and he started driving away from the hospital. I looked over at Griffin.

"Im so sorry I dont remember, but can I ask you some questions then maybe I wont feel like Im going home with a complete stranger." I said quietly.

"Yeah sure." He laughed weakly.

"Umm how did we meet?"

"At a coffee shop 3 years ago."

"Ok how old am I?"

"18"

"How old are you?"

"19."

I smiled a little. I think I can get used to him. It seems like we had a good relationship. He looked over at me and smiled. He was very hansom.

"Any more questions?" He asked.

"One more." I said.

"Ok." He said.

"Where is my family?" I asked.

He froze. I could tell he was thinking. He gulped and then turned to me to talk to me.

"Oh umm your parents died when you were younger. They were in a car crash." He said quickly.

"Do I have any siblings?" I asked quietly.

"Damn it Alex you dont need to worry about this shit im all the family you need now stop asking questions!" He yelled.

I flinched. Was he always like this? He looked over at me, clearly distressed. He put his hand on top of mine and rubbed circles into it as he drove.

"Im sorry I didnt mean to yell. I love you." He said.

"I... I love you too." I mumbled.

Griffins POV

I cant believe she believes me. I have told her so many lies today. I feel a little guilty. At least she forgot all about what happened and now we can start over. I love her so much and she said she loves me too.

I already told the other guys about how she doesnt remember anything. After she took those pills in the bathroom she fell really hard. I didnt want to tell her that she had tried to kill herself. Not a good idea. Its gonna be hard to keep these lies up.

We pulled up to the house and I watched her as she starred at it. She looked happy but I couldnt tell. I got out and walked over to the passenger side to open her door. She grabbed my hand and stepped out of the car.

"You look beautiful." I told her.

"Thanks." She blushed.

She held my hand and we walked inside. Ace and Cody came down the stairs.

"Alex do you remeber Ace or Cody?" I asked.

"Cody looks familiar. I remember something. Nothing about Ace though." She said.

I freaked out inside. What if she remembers something bad about Cody? Something that makes her remember me? I looked over at her. She had a puzzled look on her face as if she was really trying to remember him.

"What about him do you remember?" I gulped.

"I remember holding hands with him. Maybe even kissing him, but im not sure."

I sighed in relief. She remembers dating him, but nothing else.

"Oh you and I dated for a very short while before you started dating Griffin. But were best friends. Always have been." Cody said.

I gave him a look that said 'Thanks dude'. He smiled. Alex went up to him and hugged him. He hesitated at first the hugged her back. Ace just kinda stood there.

She turned to look at me. I dont know if Ive ever seen her happier. I think I did the right thing.

"Lets go to bed im tired." She said as she grasped onto my hand.

I laughed at how cute she was and we walked up stairs together. I showed her around our room and then we changed into our pajamas and got in bed. We lay facing each other. She pocked my nose and smiled. She is beautiful.

"I love you so much you know that right." I told her.

"I dont remember much, but I do remember guy. Him face and name dont come to mind. But I remember laughing with him. Kissing and holding hands. I know I loved him. If it wasnt you I dont know who it was." She smiled.

My smiled quickly turned into a frown. She think Im from those memories. Those memories are from Bradey. I can tell. She doesnt love me, she loves him. I watched as she fell asleep in my arm and I swore to myself that I would kill him. Kill Bradey and make sure she loves me forever.
