Chapter 7: Safety and Fear

In the morning I couldn't even stand. My body pounded with pain. I laid there, a helpless child who couldn't even defend herself. Im only 17! Why did this have to happen to me!

"Alex? Alex?" I felt someone shake me. I groaned in pain.

"Alex come on get up."

I got enough energy to turn my head and see who it was. There stood Cody, Adam, and Sam.

"Oh gosh, who did this to you?" Adam asked.

I couldnt even answer. I had run out of energy. I then felt two strong arms wrap around me and pick me up. Adam lifted me up bridal style and carried me to the bed. I snuggled my face into his shirt. I almost felt safe.

He laid me on the bed and pulled the covers around me. He kissed my forehead and walked out of the room. I sighed and let sleep take over.

Adams POV

I feel bad for her. It wasnt her choice to come here. And the thing is, I love her. Shes just so beautiful and kind. I would do anything to protect her.

I closed the door to the bedroom she was sleeping in and turned around. Griffin was standing right behind me.

"Oh crap! You scared me!" I mumbled.

"Ya that was kinda the point" he responded.

"Oh umm lets go talk somewhere else. Shes sleeping."

"I dont want to talk. I want to see Alex."

"Whoa, Im not letting you in there. Not after what you did to her!"

"Oh, im going in there. You cant stop me, Adam. Stop trying to protect her. Shes mine and she doesnt need protection from me." He chuckled.

"If anyone its you who she needs protection from. You're a monster! She didnt want any of this!" I stated angrily.

"Just move out of the way." He shoved me to the side and walked into the room. I scrambled to my feet, but I wasnt fast enough. He was already im and had locked the door. Crap, this isnt good.

I knocked on the door. I didnt want to wake Alex. There was no response. Just great (note the sarcasm). How am I supposed to protect her when I cant even get into her room.

Griffins POV

I walked into her room. Well, that was easy. I though Adam would put up more of a fight. I walked over to the bed and shook her shoulder.

"Hey Adam" she groaned. Ha, she thinks in Adam!

"Oh Im not Adam" She turned her head when I said that and her eyes filled with fear.

"Oh gosh. Please dont hurt me! Please!" Shes cute when shes scared.

"Im not going to hurt you." I purred in her ear. I felt her shiver.

I groaned and looked down at my pants. Crap, shes so sexy when shes sacred. She must have noticed because she tried to scoot away. I chuckled at that.

I laid down next to her and spooned her. I put my head in the crook of her neck and breathed in her scent. She smells amazing. I smiled and closed my eyes. This is perfect.

I woke up and Alex wasnt in my arms.

Where did she go? I looked up to see the door wide open. Crap, did she escape? I hope not.

I got up quickly and ran out the door. I checked all the rooms up stairs and she wasnt there. I walked down the stairs and looked in the kitchen. Sam was standing there making a sandwich.

"Have you seen Alex?" I asked quickly.

"Yeah, shes in the living room." He mumbled in response.

I ran into the living room and my heart dropped. Alex was sitting on couch snuggled next to Adam. His arms were around her and they were just sitting there watching a movie. Adam turned to look at me and panic filled his eyes.

He better panic. Because this is not going down easily. Alex is mine and only mine. This was my idea and I dont want anyone touching her. I could tell this wasnt going to end well.
