Chapter 8: Fights and Runaways

Griffins POV

I clenched my fist and I stared at Adam and Alex. Alex squealed and jumped off the couch. She ran into the kitchen where I heard her scream. Sam then walked in with her over his shoulder.

"What do you want my to do with her?" He asked

"Give her to me and go get some duct tape." I responded

He passed Alex to me and I held her in my arms bridal style. Se wiggled and squirmed. It was cute.

Soon Sam came back in with some duct tape. We tied Alex up and sat her in a corner. She looked so helpless. Then Sam left and I turned to Adam.

"Shes mine, Adam. You cant touch her. I kidnapped her, you didnt. Back off" I growled

"Cant you see that she hates it here. You cant own a person. She hates this all. She even hates you." He snapped

"She doesnt hate me! I know it! She just has to get used to it!"

"No, Griffin. She hates this place and she hates you. You cant force her to like it here. Shes human too!" Once those words left his lips I lunged.

I rammed into his chest and he fell back wards. I got on top of him and struggled to punch him as he tried to push me off. He hit me hard in the jaw and I rolled off him in pain. He then struggled over to me and started hitting and punching me. A sudden rush of adrenaline went through me and I shoved him off. I then got on top of him and started punching him harder and harder.

"Dont. Ever. Touch. Her. Again!" I screamed in between punches. I felt his body go limp, but i kept punching. Soon I felt two hands on my shoulders yanking me off of him.

"What the hell are you doing? Your going to kill him!" Cody screamed at me and pulled me away.

I got to my feet and looked at Adam. His face was covered in blood and he was barely breathing. Good. He deserved it.

I looked over at Alex who was still tied up. Her eyes were shut tight and tears were streaming down her face. I stormed off to my room. I ran up the stairs and walked through the door.

Alexs POV

I closed my eyes. I couldnt watch Adam get beat up. He was the only one I felt safe with.

"Hey, its ok. Im going to undo the tape." Cody whispered in my ear.

He pulled all the tape off and I stood up. I walked over to the couch and sat down. I stared at Adams bloody body. I wish I could help him. I cant, im useless.

"Hey Nick, watch Alex im going to go get some bandages for Adam." Cody said then walked out the door.

I sat there for a minute thinking. Then, I noticed I was alone. Nick must not have heard Cody because he never came in. The only other person in the room was Adam and he was still unconscious.

I got up and walked over to the door. There was still no one there. I swung the door open and stepped out. I sighed and closed the door behind me. I was free.

Then, I ran. I ran and ran and ran. I couldnt believe I made it. Wait, I dont know where I am. Im in the middle of nowhere.

I was about to flag down a passing car when I recognized the car. Its Griffins. I turned and ran. How did he know I left? This is bad.

I turned into a neighbor hood. I ran down a random street and saw that Griffin was still following me.

I panicked, he was gaining on me. I ran up to a random house and pulled on the door. Locked. I ran to the next house and yanked open the door. Yes!

I slammed the door shut behind me and locked it. I slid down against the door and closer my eyes. Thank goodness thats over. Wait, now im in a strangers house. Crap.

Unknown POV

I heard the door open and slam shut. Oh, Jared must be home. Jareds one of my room mate. We share this little apartment. I got up and walked out if my bedroom.

"Hey Jared. What did you get fr..." I began to say.

Jared wasnt at the door. There was a girl. This girl was beautiful. She has short brownish blonde hair and a rounded face. Her skin was tan and smooth looking. I stared at her for a moment. Then she opened her eyes. Her eyes were piercing blue.

She tried to get up, but she looked so exhausted that she couldnt. I walked over to her. She looked up at me.

"Who are you?" I whispered
