Chapter - Five

I've been in Nanda Parbat for about three months now and I want to go back for Theas birthday. I went to Starling and they had me go to a house where a woman was. Blonde. Name of Cassidy Hawthorn. I went inside and started talking to her. When I mentioned the League she helped me into a army outfit. She put little award flags on the left of my chest and my name on the right.

She gave me a pair of combat boots and a hat. Told me if inside take it off and if I'm outside I have to wear it. She put my name on the data base and my missions she put down classified and unknown.

I went to the house and knocked. It was only o six hundred. No one answered so I opened the door and took my hat off. I saw the maid Raisa and she smiled at me. "Your mother with be very happy to see you." She said. "Thank you. I will wake her for you." I said going up the stairs. I opened the door not seeing Walter.

I sat on the she of the bed. "It's someone's birthday today." I said. "Not now Thea." She mumbled in her sleep. "Lucky for you I'm not Thea." I said and her eyes flashed open. "Eliza. My baby." She hugged me. "I'm only back for a few days." I said hugging her back. "I will cherish every moment then." She said.

"I'm gonna say hi to Thea and Ollie before I go to see Emma." I said. "Oh please let them sleep in." She said and I nodded. "Okay. Maybe you can call Emma for me." I asked. "Okay. I'll invite her to go shopping with Thea and me." She said. "I've got a few things to do in town so I won't be joining the shop for a car." I said and she laughed.

"Thea has been begging me for a car. She tells me you and Oliver got a car at eighteen." Mom said. "Well I drive better than all of you and there's proof of that considering Ollie scraped the paint off Dads car." I said and she smiled.

Before we both knew it it was almost eight. "I must shower. You should go eat something downstairs." She told me getting up. "I'll talk to you later." I said going downstairs and seeing Ollie.

"Eliza." He said and I hugged him. "I got a deal with my Commanding Officer. I get a few days in Starling." I said and walked over to the food. "Does mom know your here or Thea?" Ollie asked. "Do I know what?" Thea asked and then she saw me. "Eliza!" She ran over and we hugged.

"I missed you." I said. "Your staying for good right?" She asked. "A few days. I wouldn't miss your birthday for the world Thea." I said and grabbed a
blueberry muffin. "Well. Did mom tell you if I was getting a car?" She asked. "I would tell you. But where's the surprise in that?" I said and she smiled.

I saw Tommy walk in. "Eliza. I didn't know you were back and wow you look..." He stopped himself. "Thanks Tommy. If you need to go. Go." I said and Ollie kissed my forehead.

They left and then Mom came in with Emma. "Eliza!" Emma ran into my arms. "Em. Can't breathe." I coughed out as she loosened her grip. "Are you coming with us?" She asked. "I have some things to do. I'll be sure to be back in time for the party and I'll be in a dress. Better than wearing this." I said and they smiled. "I think it looks hot." Emma whispered. "I'll see you all later." I smiled and walked out.

I went to see somethings at Tower. I looked at everything and then I took off my uniform. My new scars on the back side from Ra's Al Ghul. I put on my mask and designed darts.

I went to the police station where I found Lance. "Quentin Lance. I need to speak to you." I said with my voice changer. "Phoenix. We thought you were dead. I wish you stayed that way." He said. "I have been following a lead. One regarding your daughter. Sara. She's, she's alive. It is my top priority." I said. "She died on a boat with a billionaire." He said. "Sara Lance is Alive. I will bring her back alive." I said pushing myself up to the roof of a building. I changed into a dress and found a mans underwear under the bed.

At first I was confused but I realized I was gone for a while I couldn't have stopped this. I pinned my hair up and tried not to cry over this. I let this happen. I'm going to lose another person I love.

I put my things into a bag and as the night came Emma came in. "Eliza. Are you here?" She called out. I walked out in the dress. "Emma tell me you didn't cheat. Tell me I wasn't fighting for us for the country so that I could get stabbed in the back by you." I felt the tears in my eyes. "I can't." She said and I grabbed my bag. "I'm gone. The apartment is yours. Don't call me." I set the key on the counter and left.

I put my bag in Tower and laced up some heels. I went to Theas party and hugged everyone including Laurel. "Where's Emma?" Laurel asked. "We broke up." I said and she hugged me. "What happened?" Laurel asked. "She cheated on me. While I was in hell." Literally in hell my brain said. "I'll be okay. I'm gone in a few days anyways." I said and Tommy frowned. "So lets make this night unforgettable. For Thea and us." I said and Laurel smiled.

Thea ran out in her brand new car. I couldn't say I was having the best time either. I went out and found a girl. "Who are you? Who sent you?" I asked. "My name is Sin. Sara sent me. She told me to tell you to keep your mouth shut and to stay out of it." The black haired girl said.

"Tell Sara I want to see her face. I miss her. I want her to see what she put me through being dead. She can't hide from me forever. Also Sin. You are lucky I'm not a stone cold killer." I said and sat down.

I saw that there were truck robberies around the way they stood they were from Afghanistan. I thought there was going to be another move tonight. I went to see in my Phoenix suit. I saw the guy walk away and then I saw them get out of a van with Carly my big belly burger waitress. I threw a knife into one guy and then I ran into the other guy pushing him down. "Run." I told Carly.

"Phoenix. I thought you were dead." He said. "Never." I slit his throat coated my face and body in blood. I looked up at the man with the grenade launcher.
My eye glowing a violent red. "Phoenix." A voice behind me. I turned and saw the Hood. "This is my city." I said throwing a knife at him.

I got back to Tower shaking from the blood on my face and hands. Ash stood there staring. "What the hell happened?" She asked. "Ash. I killed a man. He was going to kill Carly the woman from Big belly burger and I just killed him.

"Ted Gaynor?" She asked turning on the news. I saw the body and they were talking about how he was the head of the operation. "At least he wasn't innocent." Ash said and I started washing my hands. "Let me help you." She grabbed a rag and started cleaning off my face. "Emma left me and I killed Ted Gaynor." I said and Ash continued to wipe off the blood. I laid down and slowly passed out.
