A Canary's Love (REWRITING)

Chapter - Fourteen

When they admit Eliza to the hospital the doctors found a screw was out of place and they cut into her back taking the chip and screwing it back. The nanobots were there to finish the rest. They put me in a private room where they were able to let Mom, Thea, Oliver and Roy in.

What they didn't know is how much pain I was in. It was twice as much as last time. The pain killers were wearing off and that's when my heart sped and I woke up screaming in so much pain. The doctors pushed everyone out and tried asking what was wrong. "The Chip!" I screamed as it's stopped along my heart. The nanobots continued and when my heart started again. It was all done. The pain the nanobots.

When I woke up I saw Mom asleep on the chair. Thea must be at the club with Roy and Ollie is probably out as the arrow. I took a second before I slowly sat up and looked at mom. She was so peaceful.

I was able to move my toes and the nurse came in. "Is everything okay?" She asked checking my chart. "I can feel my toes and move them." I said moving them just a bit more. "Probably just your mind playing games." She said and then saw my whole foot moving.

The nurse ran and then came back with the doctor. "Amazing." He said and I uncovered my legs. I slowly used my hands to help move my legs. I felt the touch. I tried not to smile as I thought about its not gonna last.

The nurse tried helping but I stood on my own. "Take it slow." The nurse said as I lost balance. I saw Thea at the corner of my eye. "Eliza! Why are you on the floor?" Thea asked waking Mom. "It's back Thea. It's back." I said tears falling and she hugged me.

After some sleep physical therapy was an order. I was able to go home after some scans and a small bit of walking. I was stuck in a wheelchair but I constantly wanted to get up.

I was everywhere and when I turned on the tv I saw the news. "Eliza Queen has been released since the attack at Sebastian Bloods event." They said and I turned it off. I went and checked my phone Ollie was trying to contact me and so was Slade. "Slade? I saw that you were trying to contact me." I said rolling towards the kitchen. "I saw what happened on the news. Thought I might stop by and see how you were." He said. "I'm fine. Thanks. I'll probably come into the office tomorrow." I said and Ollie was home and asking for me. "I'll talk later. Goodbye." I said and as he said. "Goodbye Miss Queen." He said and I rolled myself out. "Ollie? Did you bring anything to eat?" I asked.

"I saw on the news after Thea told me." He said and I nodded. "Did she tell you all of it?" I asked. "She just told me you were out and back home." He said. I moved my foot off the wheelchair and slowly stood. As I did I fell towards him. "What are you doing?" He asked. "The blast adjusted or did something to my nanobots. I can walk again Ollie." I said and he moved me back. "What did the doctors say?" Ollie asked. "That it's a miracle." I said. His phone started buzzing. "Detective." He answered. "Go." I said and he gave a upset maddened look as he walked away.

I got some rest until Ash called me. "What is it?" I asked slowly standing. "Roy wants to be his own kind of vigilante. His first guy is a killer. He's making Sin go under cover." She said. "I'm on my way." I said and went to the basement and grabbed the mechanical legs.

I tracked Ash's phone to a garage. I lowered myself down and saw Roy hitting a guy. "Roy!" I saw Sin yell as he hit her. He ran over and I looked at the guy. "Both Of you need to leave, Now!" I yelled and used the guys phone to call an ambulance. I told them I found the guy like this and I was the Phoenix above every body.

"Phoenix!" Ash yelled. "Ash." I said as I landed next to her. She hugged me. "I missed you." I said. "Ash! You called her! This was my thing!" Roy yelled mad and when he came as us I grabbed his wrist and twisted behind his back. "Calm down." I said. "Roy. Calm down." I said and he pushed me back making my mechanical legs shock out. "Eliza!" Ash screamed running towards me making Roy realize what he had done. "Ash. Help me up." I said and she gave me her hand. "Roy. I might have to kill you for doing that. But since your my sisters boyfriend your off the hook." I said unclipping the tech from my legs. "I have to remake my suit now that I can use my legs again." I said unclipping the other side. "Roy. I promise to keep this to myself promise me you'll keep this to yourself." I said and he nodded with a small frown. "With what's in you Roy. Watch yourself. I don't wanna know what might happen to my sister if you black out." I said. "And you think I do? I love your sister. I'd do anything for her." He said. "Prove it to me. Prove you won't hurt her." I said walking away.

I went to my wheelchair. I stitched my suit and made it better. I took out the green and replaced it with black and put more red. Red happened to be my favorite color. The sight of my new suit made me happy.
