Chapter - Six

I felt like I killed an innocent man by the name Ted Gaynor. I slit his throat without hesitation. What am I? Because for one I'm not human. I don't feel like one and no one looks at me the same. Or it's my mind going nuts.

Thea had court and it wasn't great because she had just turned eighteen and crashed a car while on Vertigo. The city's most addictive drug. The one the Count made.

I put on my sweats and went for a jog. After a few days I wasn't met by Assassins and I was cleared from their list to get out. I was free.

I heard that the Hood was shot by Moira Queen. I quickly went to the basement and saw my brother dying. "Get away from him." The man said holding a gun and a woman behind him. "Just tell me how he is." I asked. "He is stable." The woman said. "Thank you for saving my brother." I said pulling my hood back and removing my mask.

"You.. you're the Phoenix vigilante?" The blonde woman said. "I never meant to kill Ted Gaynor in front of you. I just.. I'm sorry." I said to the man I recognized from the robbery. "Can you give my brother a message. Tell him to stop using the List. Also keep my secret or I will murder you both, while you sleep." I said walking out.

I went to see Mom and Thea hugging and talking about the Hood. "Mom. I heard on the news. Why didn't you call me?" I asked in my dark dress just covering my suit. "I'm fine. Just a little shaken." She told me as I hugged her. "I'll kill him." I said trying to hide my smile.

"Where's Ollie?" Thea asked. "He's probably at the club there's zero reception in there." I said and Thea sighed. By morning Ollie came in and Mom was giving Lance a full statement. "What's going on?" He asked. "Where have you been?" Thea asked. "Mom was attacked by the vigilante." I told him. "I was in the club. There's like zero reception in there." He said. "You should look into a Landline." Thea said. Mom walked over and hugged him.

I talked to Thea and got a look from John Diggle, Ollies bodyguard. The one from the basement. "John Diggle. Can I have a word?" I asked. "Sure." He said and looked at Ollie. "Don't worry Ollie. I'm just gonna see if he's good enough for you." I said and hooked arms with John.

"Miss Queen. What would you like to discuss." He said crossing his arms. "I wanted to apologize for how I acted. I was scared for my brother." I said leaning against the wall.

"So you won't Kill Felicity or me in our sleep if we told Oliver." He said as he stood there trying to look tough. "Oh no. I'll kill you. I just was going through some stuff." I replied with a smirk. "I don't believe you." He said and I grabbed his arm pinning him against the wall. "Try me." I walked away.

I went to look at apartments and I found one that over looked the city. With my paycheck I'd be able to keep the place and get off my family's money. I was starting another tech project with Ray over the phone. I told him about it and he liked my idea on the nanobots. They would enter the blood stream and you would be able to watch from a tablet, if anything changes in the body.. Cancer or viruses.

I worked on them until I saw a jewel thief was in town. He got the red ruby jewel from a guard. He was gonna sell it so I went on the dark web and started finding it. The guys record came up and then there was a buyer already.

I went to Merlyn Global Group. I had a meeting with Malcom over some business and he asked me to take a job I politely declined and we had lunch. "Are you sure we can't convince you to join us in our tech department?" He asked. "I have been in business for as long as I could remember Malcom. I don't want a normal tech job I'd like a higher position. That is my final offer. Take it or leave it." I said taking a bite of my noddles. "Okay. I'll take it. When do you leave Palmer tech?" He asked. "I never said I was quitting Palmer Tech. It's a part time job and I only have to give Ray my ideas and my finished product which takes a very long time so I don't have deadlines." I said grabbing my drink. "Well then. We'll just have to share you." He said making me smile.

I went back and saw the Queens put a jewel for auction. They are having a gallery before the auction. I put on my Phoenix suit and broke my motorcycle out and put the seat back on. They fixed it. They just wanted a millionaire to pay them.

I left a check and took the plate off. I drove with my dart belt. I saw a car driving faster with Winnick Norton in it. I cut him off as a motorcycle came blazing through. "One move and one blonde gets her head blown off." I looked at the suited man with a helmet. "Lucky for you I'm fine with death." I threw a dart into his artery keeping him from pushing the button. It kept him awake while I grabbed the button. "Who are you!" He yelled sounding like Ollie. "Honestly. Not your biggest fan." I said jumping on my motorcycle speeding off.

I laid down and my phone was buzzing like crazy. I looked and it was named Felicity. "Who is this?" I asked. "Um. Yea. I can't keep a secret and I have a big mouth and I..." She sounded like she'd talk forever. "Felicity. Fine. If it comes out it comes out. I'm don't care. I figure one day my luck will run out and I figure it's better he knows. So don't tell him let yourself say it. That way I can freak John Diggle out by standing over him while he sleeps. I'll feel better if I can scare someone." I said and hung up.

I slowly fell asleep until two hours later Malcom texted me he wanted help with something. I grunted tied my hair up and put on a pant suit. I went to the office. "Malcom do you realize what time it is?" I asked pointing to the clock telling us it was four a.m.

"I am getting an award later. I'd like you to be there and I need your help telling me what to say to Tommy. I really want him there." He said. "Leave the talking to me. I'll get him to come." I said and he smiled at me.

I went to Laurels apartment and knocked. Laurel was at work so he should be alone. "Eliza." Tommy answered the door. "I'm here on business for your father. He is inviting you to come tonight as he gets the humanitarian award from the mayor. Tommy he didn't come because he knew you wouldn't listen. I'm here because I'll also be there tonight. I'll stand by your side." I said and he sighed. "Fine. I'll go. Why are you going and why did he send you?" He asked. "I'm here on behalf of your father and I'm going for Ray Palmer. I'll see you tonight." I said and walked out.

I texted Malcom and let him know that I was sleeping. Do not disturb. Of course after that Ray wants to video chat.
