A Canary's Love (REWRITING)

Chapter - Nine

I woke up in bed and I was near a wheelchair. I uncovered my legs that looked discolored. I placed my legs down as I couldn't feel them. I pushed myself into the elevator and went to Tower. There was hell going on in the Glades. I watched the news and then I slowly stood on my dead legs.

I fell back into the chair and started making a pair of false legs that would just help me get through the Glades helping out what I could. I finished and made sure they wouldn't lock up. I ran and told people to run. I went to the subway station as I heard Felicity tell Lance to go there. "Let me help." I said. I pulled out wires and cut the power. "This isn't the only one." I said over intercoms and Lance frowned. "Felicity!" I yelled.

The east side came down and Laurel. She was at CNRI. I went and saw Tommy so I helped him lift up for her to get up. She ran off as I was pushed away Tommy was hit. I saw Ollie and I helped him move the giant cement off of him. I let Ollie talk to him. I tried not to cry. "Ollie go." I said pulling Tommys dead body up and walking to the top floor. I dropped down after letting a tear fall. "I'm sorry." I said as I set him down. "He died before I could help him." I said and grappled up.

I went to Tommys funeral after finding out Malcom left his company to me. As I was the highest trusted member. I asked we change the name and everything I asked. While being new owner of Merlyn Global Group now just Global Group since there is no Merlyn's left to take the name. Queen Consolidated and Ollie's Club was given to me. As he left town. I moved from my apartment to the mansion and I had to put a wheelchair lift in. It wasn't my best moment but I had to keep appearances. Phoenix gets to run with my tech and I have helped Felicity around the Arrow cave trying to get Ollie some of the best equipment.

Felicity and John were trying to find Ollie for the past few months and it wasn't going well. I haven't been keeping everything great while he was gone. I still had to work with Ray Palmer on somethings. I have been working with Felicity on a tech that could fix my spine and let me walk without metal pinching my legs leaving marks and bruises. I wish I could fight fast like I used to.

I have used most of any extra money from the companies for rebuilding the Glades. To rebuild. I pay the people the same and I go to every visit for Mom as Thea won't. I tell Mom Thea loves her even if she won't admit it. I have met with Sebastian Blood and I like him but there's something off about him.

I went to the Mayors little get together as he started talking about the donations they've gotten will.. and then he was shot. Two men and they were trying to grab the district attorney. Laurel hit one down the other put a gun to her head and I used my taser to stun him as he kicked me away on to the ground and took the gun from Laurel. They ran and Laurel and the Attorney helped me up. "Thank you." I said and Laurel hugged me. "I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure he wasn't about to kill you." I said to Laurel. I rolled myself and told the police what they wanted to know. Then I saw Ollie talking to Laurel.

He was back. I pushed myself to the limo and my bodyguard let me pull myself in. He put the wheelchair in back and I saw Ollie get in the other side. "How are you doing?" He asked. "Not my first question Ollie. How about where have you been? Were you ever gonna come back? Did you even think about how leaving would effect everyone around you?" I asked. He was silent. "Thea hasn't been around the house lately. She doesn't even visit Mom. Mom has asked about you but all I can tell her is you left. No one knows where you went and the only people who cared have been busy enough to forget. But Ollie that hurts. It hurts me." I said trying not to cry. He hugged me. "I'm sorry." He said.

Morning came and Isabel Rochev was at Queen Consolidated. She was gonna try to get Queen Consolidated from
me. My assistant Ash was around and she got me coffee. Felicity stayed in the IT department and John was partly my bodyguard.

I moved to the end and watched Ollie come in. "Oliver Queen. I'm Isabel Rochev. I'm here to take your company from both of you." She said with a smile. "My plans for this Company will expand and it will rise. People Blame Malcom Merlyn and Moira Queen for the Glades and so far what they know about me is all good." I said. Letting the board members write things down as three men came in. "Oliver Queen you've failed this city." They said and started shooting. "Get down!" John said behind me. I got low and Ash came in with her suit and started fighting two of them. I watched her moves and then she got hit once and she pushed me away.

I didn't see what happened to Ollie or Isabel but I wished she would die. The police showed up and they put a bandage on my cheek. Ash had disappeared and came back as unsuited Phoenix's sidekick.

By night I heard Thea had been taken at the club. Roy tried to stop them. I was there talking to Roy. "Roy you did everything you could." I said and went downstairs to the basement and strapped the metal legs to mine. Ollie came down. Felicity started typing and I slowly stood. "They have our sister." I said putting my jacket on. "Custom made." I said opening the case for his new bow. "I've learned a bow and arrows myself. When we get back let's see who's fastest and more accurate." I said grabbing my none compact bow.

We got to the church where they were holding Thea and we both looked at each other. He shot the gun from the mans hand as I started fighting the guys behind Thea. I knocked one out and then the other. I saw Thea taken upstairs. I watched Ollie catch him. He wasn't a killer anymore. "The police are on their way. Will you be okay?" I asked Thea as I cut her wrists free. "I think so." She said and we tied the men to the fence and when they woke up the police found them.

Thea went to see Mom and Ollie saw her after a while. I went to the Queen Consolidated meeting. I let Ollie take over and he brought Walter in as he owns a Starling National bank. Isabel stormed off. "Ollie. I can't believe you got her to leave. Of course we still have to deal with her. But I needed that small laugh." I said and rolled away.

I went to bed feeling better and I was going to walk again. I believe in that. I started working on the chip. Just so it would work. If I get it right. People of Starling, the Country and even the world could walk again.
