Okay we all know this. Keith is the Beast and Lance is Belle. But in my opinion, and no this is not a biased opinion as me being a Keith stan thank you, they have a Lumiere and Cogsworth relationship.

Allura: Belle
Lance: Lumiere
Keith: Cogsworth
Hunk: Mrs Potts
Pidge: Chip
Lotor: Gaston
Coran: Maurice
Galra girls: Le Fou/Blondies
Haggar: Enchantress
Shiro was a good king who was twenty not eleven. Haggar cursed him because she's a bitch. He becomes Kuro and then the ten year, fall in love all stuff.
Keith and the Garrison trio were workers at the castle.
Keith used to be a stable boy who became good friends with Shiro. Like Cogsworth, he is the only one who talked to Beast/Kuro. But he isn't all uptight. He doesn't give a shit unless the others disturb him or Kuro.

-Misses Shiro!Keith
-Used to be jealous of Keith being good friends with Shiro so struck up a rivalry!Lance
As for Allura, her parents died when she was young and lived with Coran who was the town madman.
So it's all really close to canon. Unless if you want to add Klance.
