ELENA

The first thing I hear on an early Tuesday morning is my mom yelling on the phone downstairs. yep, she's that loud. With all my will power, I pull up my foot and try to close my room door which felt like it was miles away when I heard my mom making her way to my room still yelling on the phone.

"It's 7 in the morning mom, shut it downnnn" I yelled before burying my face under the pillow. The next thing I know is the curtains being pulled wide open, lighting the entire room.
"You just don't want to see me happily napping, don't you?" I said sitting right up with one eye open and a grumpy face looking at my mom standing by the window fully dressed in formals looking ready for a business meeting.
"Oh no darling, I want to see you happily napping at 10 and not at 3 in the midnight" mom replied putting her phone down for once.
"Oh so you did know I slept at 3, wow my hard ALWAYS working mom has time to look after me" I said sarcastically.
"Stop mocking me, I'm not soo much into work"
"oh, so what were you yelling about on the phone 5 mins ago which literally woke me up, huh mommy?"
"Work" mom replied avoiding my eye contact. "Well forget about my work for now Elena, it's your 19th birthday next week, what do you want for gift?" continued mom trying to be all cheery.
"You're an expert at changing topics" I giggled. "SO, as my gift is brought up, you promise you'll get me anything I ask for, mom?"
"I promise I'll get you anything, sweetheart"
"I want to see dad for my 19th birthday, mom, I want to be with dad as my birthday gift."
With that one sentence, I could see mom's happy face changed to a rigid stone expression.
" You know I'll never allow that man in this house again Elena, don't ever ask this to me again, my answer will always be the same."
I knew this was coming.

"Just because you had issues with him, I lost my dad, mom. you don't love him anymore but I still do, after 6 years I still love him the same. why do you even ask me for stuff when you already know what my answer is!" I blurted out of anger.
"This conversation is over" was all my mom said before storming out of the room.
"But I miss him, mom" I said laying in my bed staring at the open door hoping to get an answer I knew wasn't coming.
Ever since my mom dad's divorce, my mom doesn't let me talk to my dad. I agree he wasn't a great husband, but he was a great dad and I miss him soo much. I love my mom too, but I wish my dad had got my custody.

It was past 10 in the morning when I stepped in the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast before heading off to college, getting late as usual. I grabbed an apple off the counter and headed to the door before giving a last glance at myself in the side mirror.

My dark brown wavy hair ended just above my elbows, my olive smooth skin sparkling in the sunlight, looking at my face people would tell me I didn't even need to put make up. green eyes and lips covered with my favorite raspberry lip balm. By tucking a strand of hair back my ear, I headed off to college.

With my college being 5 stops away, I traveled by train everyday to college as my mom won't let le take the car most of the times, sucker right? As I was walking to the train station, I wondered why Tess didn't call me up yet. Tess is my childhood best friend, we have done everything together, from diapers to vodka shots, everything.I suddenly remembered Tess had told me that she's gon hangout w Luke last night. I don't even know why Tess likes that fuckboi so much God it hurts to see him with her. I tried calling Tess on her phone, Tess picked up the phone on the third ring.
"Heyyy my girl, where you reached?" Tess answered with her usual beaming voice.
"What do you mean where you reached? Where are you?" I said  getting on the train managing to get past the crowd without dropping my phone.
"I'm in the college Elena, stop with the questions and get your ass here I've got to tell you alot of things about last night" I could hear the excitement in her voice.
"Oh I'm guessing it, you stayed over at Luke's place all night, right? that's why you're up to college already" I  figured as Tess's Luke stayed two blocks away from college.
"obv you got me girl! come asap now I'm waiting!" with that Tess kept the phone and I found a seat.

All this time, I felt someone staring at me from the back so I turned back to check and found myself catching eye contact with the hottest guy I  had ever seen. Not ever, but he surely wasn't an ordinary guy on the train. I tried tilting my face a little, mentally cursing a guy blocking my view. Holy mother moly he is hotttttt.
I soon realized the eye contact was too long so I quickly turned back. mentally saying,  okay Elena, He's a stranger on the train, whom I most probably wont see again so why not check out Elena, he's one thing blessing my eye today and he was probably checking me out too! I giggled to myself earning weird looks from people sitting next to me.
I realized the next stop was mine so I got up to stand at the door, partly because I had to get down the next stop and partly to check out the stranger guy with a better view. I took my sweet sweet time to get to the door while checking out the stranger guy who wasn't looking towards me now. I mentally noted, Brown eyes- Check, Full lips-Check, Strong Jaw- Check, Tanned skin-Check nice arms- Double Checkk. yummm. Oh god elena calm your tits down.

with all my mental dreaming, I didn't realize the hot guy was now  standing next to me. And with all my will, I tried to put my the bitch mode on yet looking through the corner of my eye if he's still looking at me. Oh wait, is that a tattoo on his arm? YES IT IS. I couldn't make out what that tattoo was as half of it was under his rolled sleeve. Dear Lord why do I have to get off the next stop, I am willing to stand next to him for the entire ride! While he was busy typing on his phone standing next to me, I couldn't help but try to see how tall he was. yep, about 6'2 foot tall. another mental check. And with that, my stop came and I had to get down. As I got down the train, I looked back to have one last glace at the total hotness leaning at the side in the train I'd never see again.
