Song^ Bloodsport by Raleigh Ritchie
It's almost been a week, and Lauren hardly has spoken to me. Every time I try to start a conversation with her, she instantly shuts me down.
It hurts.
It really hurts.
With Lauren not speaking to me, at least my boxing is increasing. Elizabeth says that I'm advancing faster than any of her students who has been there for months, and I've only been there for not even a week.
It's Thursday, and I'm sitting at the desk with a ton of paperwork. My manager came in and said that Lexa was going to be taking over the class today, and I was a little relieved, but not when I found out I had a ton of paperwork.
As I'm going through this paperwork, my mind wanders off somewhere and I can't help but think;
Louis hasn't done anything lately.
I haven't gotten any calls about anything, and I'm starting to think that maybe he gave up. Maybe he realized that it was hopeless to fight a battle in which he was going to lose anyways.
But, I spoke too soon.
I heard my phone ring in my pocket and I pulled it out and saw that Normani was calling me. I answered it, "Hello?"
"Cam, you need to come to my house right now. It's an emergency," she sounded panicky and I felt my heart start pounding.
"What's wrong?" I had a feeling I knew where this was going.
"It's Dinah," she paused. "Someone attacked her,"
I felt my pulse in my veins and I felt my heart pound against my chest. I tightened my fist on the desk as I tried to hold it all together.
"I'm on my way,"
"Hurry. I already called the police," she hung up and I quickly grabbed everything and informed my manager about what was going on.
I quickly rushed out to my car and got in then drove off. The whole ride there, my blood was boiling and I felt my skin crawl because there wasn't a doubt in my mind about who done this.
Time is running out for me.
It didn't take long to get there, and I already saw two police cars there. I knew this was going to get bad, and I pray that Dinah hasn't said anything to them about Louis. I didn't want her doing that, and I know that it would be the best, but damn it, I want Louis!
I personally want to get ahold of Louis, because all the police is going to do is investigate and Louis is going to lie like he's never lied before, and sure enough, he'll get out of this situation. That's why I want him personally.
To beat his fucking ass.
I got out and saw a few poilice officers look at me as I was making my way to the front door. I walked right in and saw another police officer talking to Normani, and that's when I saw Dinah getting checked out by a paramedic, on the couch.
I walked over to her and sat down. I studied her face, and it looked horrible. She had blood dripping down her face, a black eye, busted lip. Her clothes looked torn and they had blood stains on them also.
She looked over at me and I saw something in her eyes. She looked away as the paramedic was looking her over. I looked over at Normani and she looked at me. "Hey," she walked over to me and I stood up. She sighed, "I don't know," she crossed her arms and looked at Dinah. "Dinah didn't get a look at the person who did this to her, so the information to the police is useless,"
