I laugh and walk back over to his desk, sitting down and turning off the music.
"Where are we going anyways?" I say watching Jahseh get up and grabs his keys.
"YOU'RE going to the mall with Lai, Ski and I are going somewhere else," He says as we walk out the room and to the living room where Lai was on Ski's lap, talking hella close on the couch.
"Come'on we gotta go" We all leave the house and pile into the car and head to the mall. When we arrive Lai and I get out and they speed off. I look over at Lai,
"Where are they going?" I say as we walk into the mall.
"They're probably going to the studio or something" She shrugged and grabbed my hand, pulling me into a store. Lai and I walked into a couple of stores and got to know each other. We get hungry so we stop by the food court to get something to eat. We sit down at an empty table and start eating.
"What's up with you and X"
"I mean he's cute and all but I don't think I want a relationship and I don't think he does either," I say finishing my food.
"Just give him a chance"

The uber driver pulls up to the house and we thank him. We get out and walk up to the house. Ski called Lai saying that they were gonna be out for the whole night and to catch an Uber home. We sat in the living room watching tv when Lai sighed loudly, I looked over at her, "What?"
"let's go out and do something"
"what would we go out and do?" She shrugged her shoulders and pouted.
"I don't know, let's go to the club or to a party. I'm tired of being in this house."
"I don't think I'm in the mood to go out to a party," I say turning back to the television.
"Come on, please?! Maybe you'll find a sugar daddy" She said shaking my arm, I sighed.
"Okay, fine let's go out," I say laughing. I get up and go to Jahseh's room and hopped in the shower. Once I got out I picked out an outfit, with some help from Lai, and got dressed.

I put concealer in scattered cuts and bruises that were still healing and put on clear lip gloss then did my eyeliner and I curled my hair. I start dancing in front of the mirror as I start to feel myself, I started to sing Girls need love by Summer Walker. Seconds later, Lai comes in dancing to my singing. I stop singing and we both start laughing.
"You got a nice voice, you should get in the studio," she says as we leave the bathroom.
I shake my head, "No I'm not that good"
"Shut up, you are good now come on, let's go," she says pulling me out of the house. We get into the uber that was waiting outside and went to a house where the party is.
"Why this party? It's so far from the house." I ask her as we get out of the car.
"You'll see why," She says pulling me inside the house. When we walk inside, you can see what looks like hundreds of people dancing to music, smoking or playing sexual games. I hated being at parties, especially when your friend leaves yo-
"I'll be right back" Lai shouts in my ear, cutting my thoughts short and walking away. Damn it. I felt a little awkward standing there so I made my way towards the bar, deciding to loosen up a bit. 12 1/2 shots later I'm twerking on the dance floor to a random trap song. A couple people stood around my cheering me on. All of a sudden, the music stops and everyone is screaming then they all start pushing past me towards the middle of the living room .
A song starts playing and there's a lot of noise and voices overlapping each other then all of a sudden the whole crowd starts screaming.
"FUCKED UP! FUCKED UP! FUCKED UP!" I start getting pushed around and somehow end up in the front. I notice that Lai, Ski, X and a couple of other people are on this kinda of, like, a big ass, tall pinic table. How in the hell did they get that in here? X and Ski are jumping around screaming into a microphone. Everything was too loud and it felt like my brain was pounding against my skull. I started getting nauseous, so I push past people to escape the crowd and run to the bathroom. I lean over the toilet and start throwing up. Once I was done, I stood up on my feet and washed my hands and gargled some water. I left the bathroom and sat on the couch, which was somehow in the kitchen, and scrolled through Instagram.
"Long time no see Mani" a familiar voice yells over the music. I look up to see the one person I was hoping never to see again.
