-Next day-

As I was watching some show on the tv, X comes and stands in front of me.

"Come on, we about to go get yo stuff." I give him a confused look. How does he expect to get passed Derrick?

"What about Derrick?" I questioned looking up at him.
"If he tries something I have a backup plan" he held out a hand for me to take.

I take his hand and he lifts me up from the couch. I look down at the clothes I had on and looked up at him.

"I don't wanna go out looking like this"

"Go in my room and look in the closet, I should have some girl clothes you could wear," I was about to ask why he had "girl clothes" but he cut me off "Dont ask" I give him a confused look and just nodded my head. "Just come out to the car when you ready." He says grabbing his keys and walking out.

I run up the stairs and into X's room then into his closet. I looked around, shuffling around his clothes, looking for something to wear. I surprisingly found some leggings.

I strip from X's clothes and get dressed in one of his hoodies and leggings then slipped on my dirty low-top vans.

I run down the stairs and out the door. I walk to X's car and hop inside. He lets me put in his address into his phone and we start to drive to what used to be my home. I don't know where home is anymore.

I turn the radio on to avoid the awkward silence. As we pull up to Derrick's house, I notice that his car isn't in the driveway which makes me let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. We both get out and walk up to the front door. I dug my hand into the flower pot next to the door and pulled out the spare key. I unlocked it and walked in with X close behind me. I look around to see alcohol bottles scattered everywhere. I jump as X closes the door.

"It's okay, it's just me," he says in a comforting manner. I quickly walk upstairs and to the bedroom. I grab both of my backpacks from the closet and start filling them with my clothes, makeup, and jewelry from the drawers as X stands at the door, waiting for me. As soon as I was done, we hurried out of the door and to his car. As we were driving away, I could see Derrick's car pulling up to the house. I laid back in the passenger's seat and sighed loudly.

"You okay?" His hand gripped my thigh to calm me and surprisingly it worked. I just nod my head in response and look out the window. Soon we arrive back to the house, we walk inside and head up to Jahseh's room. I set my bags on his bed and sit beside them, looking down at my feet. Out of no where, I just start crying. I put my hood on and pull on the strings, laying back on the bed. I feel someone's arms go under my body lifting me up and placing me under the covers. He lays behind me and wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into his chest as I continue to sob into the hoodie.

"I'll keep you safe in these arms of mine" he softly sings into my ear.

These first few chapters are hella cringe worthy to me
