A/N: pretty short chapter, just filler really. Not sure how long this story is going to end up being but we'll get to the more juicy stuff soon. Feedback would be much appreciated.
Once I get home there's only a couple of weeks before the sing-off starts. I start making all of the arrangements that I'm going to need to make. Speaking to my boss, my roommate and everyone else I know. They're all happy for me and proud of me but it still hasn't sunk in yet. That I'm going to be on a TV show with Pentatonix, competing against the best acapella groups in the country. I'm looking forward to it but it just doesn't quite seem real yet. We're going to be in the second episode and the theme is just our choice. We've come up with a few ideas but we're waiting until we get to LA to decide for certain.
"Hey roomie." Kevin greets me as he walks into the room that we're going to share while we're on the show. "Hey man." I reply from where I'm sitting on my bed playing absentmindedly with my guitar. "When are the others getting here?" I shrug "not really sure, should be fairly soon." The moment I finish my sentence there's a knock on the door. "It's me." Mitch sings from the other side and I can hear Scott and Kirstie laughing.
Kevin puts a finger to his lips and then waits a moment before opening the door. I walk over to him and strain to hear what the trio are saying. "Maybe they're not here yet?"
"They should be." Kevin opens the door and Mitch, who's been leaning on it, starts falling into our room. He grabs Kirstie's arm to steady himself but instead ends up pulling her down with him.She screams and ends up lying on top of him. Scott, Kevin and I burst out laughing and Kirstie glares at us. "Can one of you please help us up?" I lean in and grab her hands and then yelp in surprise as they pull me to the floor. "Ha, we win."
"Kermitch power." Kirstie shouts and they high five over my head. "Never!" Scott screams as he tackles Mitch onto Kevin's bed. "Guys I have to sleep on there.""Sorry Kevin." They say in unison before picking up a pillow each and throwing them at him. While Kirstie is distracted by the pillow fight I grab her hand and pull her down onto the floor. "Ha. Avi power." Before I can get up she grabs a pillow from the floor next to her and straddles my stomach. She raises one eyebrow at me. "Apologise." I shake my head "never". She starts hitting me with the pillow and I retaliate in the only way I can think of.
"Avi. Stop tickling me."She squeals and drops the pillow. "Scott, Mitch help me." I continue to tickle her until she's laughing so much she can barely breathe and Mitch clambers over Scott and Kevin to 'rescue' her. "Unhand her foul dragon." He shouts as he hits me with the pillow and pulls Kirstie off me. "Oh brave knight how shall I ever repay you?" Kirstie jokes, fluttering her eyelashes. "That dragon's kind of cute do you think you could get me his number?" We all burst out laughing and Scott climbs off Kevin's bed to help me up. "Come on guys, time to start rehearsals."
