"I think we miss memories more than the actual person. That connection we felt was only with them. That's the hardest part about moving on.
The entire roof was lit with various types of lightings, there was a table at the centre of the terrace decorated in blue and white. Two candles were placed in the middle and dinner plates were set at each end. The sky was clear and stars could be seemed more bright.
I was mesmerized by the view in front of me. I looked at Evan and he had an uncertain smile.
"Do you like it? " he asked unsure.
"Are you kidding? This is perfect! " I exclaimed.
He grinned at me and ushered me to the table. He pulled out a chair for me and then he went towards his side to grab his seat.
"Oh yes! Before I forget! " He said and got up. He went outside for a second and came back in with a huge bouquet of red and yellow roses.
"For you! " He smiled showing off his dimples.
"Being a gentlemen, Are we? " I smirked at him accepting the bouquet.
"Normal girls would've just said thankyou. But yeah okay! " he said rolling his eyes.
I laughed and said,
"Thankyou for this. I thought this date would turn out in a disaster! "
"Babe you're with Evan! How can a date with Evan turn into a disaster? " he smirked earning an eye roll from me.
I coughed and muttered a 'whatever'
"All your dates are like these? I mean this grand? " I asked curiosity taking over me.
"No. This is the first time I've worked hard on a date to be perfect! "
"Yeah right! " he was lying. He was definitely lying.
"What? You don't believe me? " he asked faking shock.
"That hurts cupcake! ""Seriously? Cupcake?" I made a face to which he laughed loudly.
After recovering from his fits of laughter, he made a serious face and said,"I'm serious. I've never made a date this special. All I ever have to do is look good at take them to a simple restaurant and bam! They love me! " he smirked as he said that.
"You and your big fat ego! "
He again laughed at that and we both placed our orders.
"What is soo special this time? "
He looked at me straight in the eye. His grey orbs had turned a shade darker.
"Because you're special! " he shrugged and looked away.
We talked about random things mostly about our profession as we had dinner. We were fooling and joking around. For the first time I thought, maybe maybe I can move on!
***After having the delicious dessert I got up and went near the railings where the entire Mumbai city could be seen. Cold wind was hitting my face as I was absorbed in the beauty of street lights, rushing cars and muffled traffic noise.
"So, I can proudly say that you had fun? " Evan asked standing beside me.
I smirked at him and said,
"What if I say no? ""Dr. Kia, your smile says it all so even if you say no, I'm not going to believe!"
"Dr. Evan, I actually had fun. Thank you! " I said genuinely.
He gave me one of his genuine smiles. I think this smile is the reason why all the girls are behind him.
