Chapter 20

"What's not for you, is being removed from you right now!
Trust the process"

"How was the date?! " Trisha squealed as she jumped on my bed waking me up. 

"Uggh!  Go away! " I said taking my blanket over my head.

"Kiaaaaaaa!  Get up! " Sam screeched.

I woke up with a jolt frowning at the three most annoying creatures sitting in front of me.

I looked at the clock, 

"What the hell?  It's  only seven! " I had an afternoon shift in the hospital  so I have literally  the entire morning to sleep.  But apparently  the details about the date is more important.

"Kia Jain,  if you don't  start speaking right now,  I will chop you into pieces and feed the dogs! " Ahana said glaring at me.

I rolled my eyes and looked at them.

"What do you'll  want to know? "

"Everything! Ohh by the way,  did you'll  kiss? " Tri asked excited.

"Did he take you to a mountain, under the stars kinda date? " Sam asked cooing.

"Or.. Or..  On the beach kinda date?  Tell us dammit! " Ahana exclaimed.

"Seriously stop imagining things! And by the way, I'm  going to change my lock,  so you guys don't barge into my room at 7 in the morning. "  I scowled at the three of them. 

"Done with melodrama?  Now start speaking! "  Sam ordered.

"Right! So we went to this restaurant which was amazing..... "

I told them the entire date.  How romantic it was and all.  I received lots of 'Aww' and 'Wow'.

"After that?  Did he drop you home?  You're  going on a next date with him right? " Ahana asked.

"Yeah,  about that...." I stuttered.

"What did you do, Kia? " Trisha asked horror written all over her face.

"Imighthavetoldhimthatwecouldbefriends"  I said in one breath.

"You told what? " Sam asked.

"I told him that we could be just friends! Not more than that!" I said clearly.

Silence!  All three  of them were looking at me with 'what the fuck' look.

"Why? " Ahana asked anger evident in her voice.

"Because I can't. Trust me guys,  the date was perfect,  the guy was perfect but its not for me." I sighed.

"Do you even know what are you talking? " Sam asked

"Ahhh!  I don't know okay!?  There was no spark, no connection nothing.  I felt we were good as friends, so I told him. And he was completely  fine with it. We're  good! " I said.

After our date, when Evan came to drop me home,  I clarified everything and he was Okay with it.  I remember  him saying that,

"This date was just a test to see if you feel anything for me.  And if you don't, That's  completely  fine!  We'll  stay friends!  But I'm  allowed to flirt right? "

I laughed at that and we were all good. 

Trisha and Sam just released  a long breath. Tri both looked at me and said,

"I knew this was going to happen! "

"I know right!  I told you she is going to do something  like this." Sam said.

I raised my eyebrow at them in confusion  to which Tri replied,

"I know you would do something  like this.  I mean common,  its not easy to just move on from everything. "

"And its just a start.  We're  going to find every guy out there till you  get the perfect one. " Sam cheered.

I weakly smiled at them and looked at Ahana who was completely quiet throughout the conversation.

"Ahana, I'm  sorry if you're  upset! I know he is your friend....."

"Yeah right" she rolled her eyes  cutting me off and got up.

"Ahana.... " I kept quiet when she glared at me.

"You know what?  Stop being a bitch okay?  I mean you went on a date, enjoyed yourself and then you just throw him away?  Seriously  Kia! I didn't  expect this from you!" She stormed out of the room, leaving all of us speechless.

I was currently sitting in my cabin with a severe headache.  Today was a really  bad day.  Firstly,  Ahana is not talking  to me because of the incident that took place.  I tried to call her, message her but she is not answering. Secondly, There was  a huge rush at the hospital today.  I have been working continuously for 11 hours now.  And thirdly, I am feeling really  guilty right now because Ahana was right. I used Evan to distract myself from the reality of my life.  Hence, I am ignoring him too.

I sighed. Pinching my temples to overcome this massive headache, I drank a whole bottle of water lying on the table.

"Tired huh? " Evan asked entering my cabin.

"What are you doing here? " I asked, shocked.

"Why are you ignoring me? " He asked sitting on a chair and rubbing his chin with his one finger.
"I thought everything was fine between us!"

"I seriously don't have time for all this! " I said starting to pack my stuff up.

He held my wrist and stopped me from packing.

"What the hell is wrong with you?  I thought  we're  good? " he asked frowning.

"Leave me Evan! " I said trying to release my wrists from his grip.

"Tell me Kia!  What's  wrong?"

I sat down on my seat due to the massive headache. He let go of my wrists and patiently waited for an answer.

"Look, I don't want to use you!" I said in a whisper.

"What? Use?" Confusion clouded his eyes and then laughed as if he realized what I was saying.

"What is there to laugh? " I asked frowning.

"Oh my god, Kia. You're  soo cute!" I frowned at his statement.

After recovering from his fits of laughter, he said,

"Using me?  Who told you this?  We were just on a date to get to know each other. And if you don't like me, that's  fine. Dates are for that only right? To get to know each other?  To see if you're comfortable with each other! It's  totally fine to go on randon dates, to have distractions! " he said shrugging.

"You weren't  a distraction! " I said looking away.

"Really?  You think I don't notice? "

I gave him a questioning look.

"While dancing, were you looking at me?  You were in your world Kia, as if remembering something special because you had a constant smile on your face! "

I was surprised that he observed that.  I was trying  my best to focus on him while dancing, but, I couldn't.

"And also, If you have used me then even I have used you! " he again said leaving me speechless.

"what do you mean? " 

"Trust me, I wasn't planning to take you out!" he admitted looking away.

"Huh? Then why did you take me out?"

"Because, I love someone Kia.  And you are the only person who can help me to make her fall in love with me." he admitted looking lost.

"Who is that person? " I asked shocked.

"Samaira! " he said with a small smile.
