Chapter #5: Feelings

"Oh. Wow. Thanks! Congrats Alden, kakasal ka na pala."

"Umm, yeah... Sana makapunta ka."

"Di ko sure."

"Huh?"

"I mean, Oo naman."

A guy went beside Maine and put his arm around her shoulder. He kissed the side of her head.

"Hey, babe. Andito ka lng pala."

"Ah, yes. Umm, babe, si Alden nga pala, tas si Raffa."

"Oh, nice to meet you two. May I take my girlfriend now? Thanks, bye!"

They walked away and they got lost in my sight.

"Babe, tara na?"

I didn't notice Raffa and still looked back where Maine went.

"Babe! Are you okay? Do you want to go home na?"

"Ah, yes. Let's go?"

I let go of her hand and continued to walk. I saw her flash a weirded look and followed me until the parking lot. When we got inside the car, we both became quiet. When we got to her house, she leaned in to kiss me but I didn't mind her.

"Babe?"

I still focused on the driving wheel.

"Babe!"

"Hmm?"

"I'm going now."

"Ah, sige. Bye!"

"Wala man lang kiss?"

"Not now, Raffa..."

Raffa closed the door and I left her place. I went home and sat on the bed. I opened my phone and saw a friend-request from Facebook. I tapped it and saw Maine's profile on it.

"Hindi ko ba sya friend sa FB?"

I tapped her profile and automatically, I stalked her profile. Her profile pic was her and her boyfriend, obviously. I feel a pang of jelousy all of a sudden. I still have feelings for her, this is so wrong, but it felt so right. How will I tell Raffa about this? Should I still continue in marrying this girl who's deeply in-love with me but I can't give her the love that she wants back? I'm so messed up, and I hate it. I sighed and said yes to her friend- request.

I was about to sleep when I heard my phone ring.

"Faulkerson!"

"Hey, I'm about to sleep now. Why did you call?"

"May party sa bahay ni Meng mamaya. Pupunta ka?"

"Ugh. No. I hate seeing her with her boyfriend."

"Bakit? May feeling ka parin sakanya no? Yieee!"

"Tumigil ka nga, Je! Ikakasal na ko kay Raffa next month, and I can't have feelings for her."

"Sus. Bahala ka dyan. Basta pumunta ka sa party nya mamaya."

"Jusko. Bumalik lng si Maine galing ibang bansa, tas biglang gabi-gabi na ang party?"

"Eh syempre!"

"Bahala ka din dyan."

"Huy, pumunta ka!"

"Sige na, sige na. Bye."
