Chapter #22: Maine's true love

"You sure?"

"Yes..."

"I think you need to see a doctor."

"No, okay lng talaga ako. I think I've been stressing my mind, and I just got here, baka jetlag, o pagod lng sa byahe."

"Sige, pero when you throw up again, tommorrow, we will see a doctor, okay?"

"Yes, thanks."

He guided me back to his room and we both layed down in bed. He slept after a few minutes, and I tried my best to make myself sleepy, but nothing happend. I'm still wide awake. Being in his arm, felt wrong. I remember back in the days, when me and Alden were still together, we would always end up in my sofa in fridays then watch some movies until we fell asleep. That was one of the most memorable things I had with him. Argh.. I can't stop thinking about him, bat ba hindi sya mawala sa isip ko? I stood up and quietly escaped his room. I saw my bags still in his living room, still packed, and nothing has changed. I changed into my casual clothes and decided to book a flight back to the Philippines. Maine, you're getting yourself in trouble. Pero tama naman to diba? Gagawin mo ang lahat para sa taong mahal mo. Mahal ko parin sya? Ang gulo! I have an hour before I go to the airport and leave. I decided to get a piece of paper and write a letter to Isaac, since he's been there all the time for me, and I left him without any reason. Style ko ba un? Ang mangiwan ng tao ng walang dahilan?

Dear Isaac,

Yes, I am leaving again. I know you might think that I am stupid to leave you, then come back, then leave you again. But this time, I want you to know that I'm leaving you for good. I don't want to hurt you anymore, Isaac. And please do know that I did love you. I have to leave, and I hope you can understand. You will find someone better than me, someone who deserves you more than me. Please remember that you will always have a special place in my heart and I hope we can remain as friends. Thank you for everything, Isaac.

I left it under his TV and checked my watch, I have 30 more minutes before my plane flies off. The airport isn't that far, so I called a taxi then it took me to the airport. 25 minutes later, just in time before the plane flies. I called Valeen when I was waiting in line, I asked her on what date was Alden's wedding. She answered in the next 2 days. Patay, 2 araw ung flight papuntang Canada hanggang Pilipinas. Sana makaabot ako. Sana mapigilan ko ung kasal habang hindi pa huli.
