Chapter #21: Third-wheels

"No! Hindi pwede! Ako lang, Alden! Ako lang! Akin ka lang at hindi ako papayag na mapupunta ka sa iba!"

She tried hitting me with a baseball bat again, but this time, I caught it.

"Ano? Paglalaruan mo ulit ako? Lolokohin mo nanaman ako? Alam ko na ung gagawin mo, kaya hindi nako makikipag-tangahan syo."

I continued to walk away but 2 guys were in-front of me. It was her brother and Isaac, Maine's ex-boyfriend. Bakit andito ung ex nya? They punched me and I fainted. Then I heard her say.

"Thanks, kuya, Isaac."

"You're welcome."

Her kuya answered.

"Siguraduhin mo lng na saakin lng si Maine."

"Oo na nga eh. Wala nang pipigil sakanya dahil nasaakin na si Alden. Siguraduhin mo lang na hindi na sya babalik dito, sa Pinas."

"Okay. Thanks."

Isaac and her brother left. She tied my hands then took me to her room.

"Raffa! Tanggalin mo to!"

"Don't worry, baby. You will be here only for 2 days, after that, our wedding, and then we'll be a happy couple."

"Raffa!"

She closed the doors and locked it.

"Raffa! Pagsisisihan mo to!"

I knocked on his door, expecting his face to pop out. But it was his older sister.

"Maine? Oh my gosh! Maine! Why are you here?"

"Lindsey?"

She hugged me and we went inside.

"What are you doing there, Maine?"

"I'm here to find him."

"Oh, Isaac went home to the Philippines to find you. He knew what happend to you, and I can say, Maine. You're one lucky girl. Because Isaac still loves you, he loves you very-very much. So I am asking you."

She took my hand and squeezed it.

"Please don't hurt my brother?"

I looked at her and nodded slowly. The door opened and Isaac showed up. We both stood up then I rushed towards him to hug him.

"Isaac, I'm sorry..."

He rubbed my back and kissed my forehead.

"Don't be, Maine. I'm glad you're here, and I promise you, you will be safe here. So please don't leave me?"

"I won't."

He pulled away and put his arm around me.

"Ate, I'll take care of her. Thank you."

"Anything for you, Isaac. I'll go now."

Her sister left and we were alone in the house. He took me to the room and we both slept.

"Isaac?"

"Hmm?"

"I think I'm going to throw up."

I stood up and wait straight to his bathroom. He followed me and pulled my hair.

"Are you okay?"

"Y-yes."
