We both laughed.
"Hindi, seryoso, namiss ko ung burger m—"
"Babe!"
Maine looked back, and I saw her boyfriend.
"Vico, something wrong?"
"Ummm, wala naman, Babe. Uwi na tyo? Pagod na ko eh."
She looked back at me with a questioning face.
"Ahh, you go ahead. Magtatagal pa ko dito."
"Sure ka?"
"Yes."
"S-sige. Tara na babe?"
Vico put his arm aroung her waist then walked out of the gym. Argghh, self control din, Den. After 30 minutes of work-outs, I decided to leave the gym. I took a shower then slept. The next day...
"Hey, babe!"
Raffa greeted. She was cooking breakfast.
"Huy... Anong ginagawa mo dito, babe?"
"Umm, pumunta ako dito kagabi, pero tulog ka na eh... Sinubukan kitang gisingin pero..."
"Pero ano?"
Raffa sighed.
"Wala. Nevermind."
"Raffa naman eh, tell me, please... May nagawa ba kong hindi kaaya-aya? May nasabi ba akong masama?"
"Oo..."

"Babe? Babe, gising ka please..."
"Hmmm... Inaantok pa ko..."
Raffa stood up and tried to walk away but Alden pulled her.
"Maine, don't go away, please..."
And that made Raffa think.
"Does he still love Maine? This can't be. Ako ung pakakasalan nya, ako lang dapat ang mahal nya."
She palmed Alden's face.
"Babe, kalimutan mo na sya, she's happy with her life, she's happy without you. I'm here naman eh, you have me. And I love you."
She tried kissing him, but he refused.

"Yes."
I walked closer to her and hugged her from the back.
"Sorry, babe... Sorry na please..."
"Alden, kaano-ano mo ba si Maine? Anong meron ungg babaeng un sayo?"
I pulled away and sighed. I took a deep breath and speaked.
"Maine is my college girlfriend. Iniwan nya ako ng biglaan, ng walang dahilan, ng hindi ko inaakala. Mayroong tanong dito sa isip ko na hindi pa nasasagot. Kaya, I'm sorry na, Babe..."
I kissed her forehead.
"Alden... Aminin mo nga sakin, mahal mo parin ba si Maine?"
"Huh? Ano ba namang klaseng tanong yan, babe? Syempre hindi na, ikaw na ang mahal ko diba? Ikaw ang pakakasalan ko diba?"
"Pero, malay mo mahal mo parin sya."
"Raffa, hindi na nga. Sige, kung gusto mo, kalimutan ko na sya, tatanggalin ko ang mga connections ko sakanya."
"Talaga?"
"Oo..."
