The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 23

The honey moon is great.  We are on our way to Hawaii. I cannot believe Alex actually took me here. It was all a surprise. I did not know that we were going here till we got off the jet. Yes. We took a private jet. I had no idea his parents were that loaded. He never told me. I was shocked that I was not that scared in the plane. The whole werewolves are supposed to be scared of heights. Well that is all folktale. We are not scared of a little height. 

When we got to the hotel, I could not breathe. The room was amazing. It was beautiful inside and out. I could not believe my eyes for the longest time. I bed was so comfortable that I was about to pass out the moment I hit the bed. 

As we started unpacking some of our things, a yawn escaped my mouth. 

"It was a long day, maybe you should get some rest," Alex said, clearly catching my yawn. I just nodded and jumped onto the bed.

"Come lay with me. We can unpack together later."

Alex nodded and jumped onto the bed next to me. When he got comfortable I layed my head on his chest. As I was falling asleep, I could here the beat of his heart. I could feel his chest rising and falling. I felt so much peace when I was with him. I do not know exactly when, but I fell asleep sometime while listening to his heartbeat.

I woke up to the moon shining on my face. Alex was nowhere to be found. I did not know exactly when I started to panic but I did. I got out of bed and went outside. When I did not find him I thought about calling him when I saw someone on the balcony. I look out the window and find Alex standing there.

I step outside to join him. He does not turn around to look at me. I put my arms around his waist and put my chin on his shoulder.

"Are you okay," I ask him.

"Yes, just thinking."

"About what?"

"How lucky I am to be here with you." At that moment he turns around to face me. He pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead. I smile into his chest. I could get used to this. 

The next morning I wake up to the most amazing smell ever. Breakfast. I look at the table and see eggs and bacon. Along with pancakes. Alex really outdone himself this time. I look around for him and see that he is not around again, I find him coming in with some hot coffee. Just what I needed after last night.

The breakfast was the most amazing thing ever. We just sat at the table and talked. We talked about what was going to happen that day. Alex is taking me cruising around town. We are then going to go snorkeling in the bluest water ever. He then is going to make reservation at the nicest restaurant here. I cannot wait for our first date as a married couple. I have never been more excited and in love.
