The Princess of a faraway kingdom wanted to know the wonders of a world outside her castle and only her loyal Gallade would help her out, at least for a short time. However, an evil witch plan...
Longtime ago, in a faraway kingdom, a beautiful young princess lived in a great andwonderful castle. She had a bright, cheerful and innocent personality that gavelife to the whole castle that, at times, had a tense and sad atmosphere. Herparents, the king and the queen, had passed away from a terrible illness whenshe was a baby. It was such a terrible illness they suffered from, that it wasthought it could be a curse an evil witch somehow set on them. Because of that,and because the princess was the only descendant to take the throne, she wasforced to stay in the castle, a castle surrounded by strong guards and mightyknights, but just one brave and powerful knight had the honor to guard theprincess herself. A Knight so different from the others, that he was not evenhuman. Actually, he was a pokemon known as Gallade.

Gallade has stayed next to the princess since she was just a little kid, playing with her and teaching her things none of her private teachers would ever be able to teach; things such as friendship, compassion, honor and perseverance. He would continue staying at her side for the rest of his days, even after the day the princess would be considered as a grown up, the same day she would receive her rights to rule and become queen and hopefully, find a husband that could help her rule and be a fair king.
The princess was always fascinated with her knight. Gallade always knew how to comfort her when she was sad, protect her when she was scared, gave her attention when everyone else ignored her and listened to her stories, fantasies and dreams. Knowing he will be there with her forever, under any situation, made her feel she did not need anything more in her life. She could not be more grateful or glad that her personal guard was, as well, her best friend.
The princess knew so many things from Gallade that most did not know. Under that serious and immovable look, he had a shy, tender side and of course a soft side toward the princess. He would sneak out to secretly get her some sweets, or blame some of the princess' accidental disasters on him so she would not get terribly scolded and he even always got a present for her birthday. Because the special day was to take place in a pair of days and it was even more special from the rest of her birthdays, the princess wanted to ask Gallade for something especially special. The last days, Gallade seemed to be down for some reason, so she hopped to cheer him up with her request.
