Almost right away, Gallade saw a dark wave approaching them from the deeps of the forest, it definitely was an attack. "Watch out!" He yelled and got right between the wave and the Princess just in time to rise a protective barrier that disappeared right after it was hit. Fear began to grow in the Princess' heart, she just saw the attack coming when Gallade told her to watch out. "W-What is going on, Gallade?!" She held onto Gallade, scared on what could be happening. "Just stay close, my lady... I shall protect you." He was deadly serious and approached the source of the attack with a Swords Dance, for getting himself ready for battle in the case it was needed and advertising the enemy, hopefully making it flee. However, this was not the case. There was an intermittent sound of something hard falling, getting louder and louder as something approached them.

Soon, from the shadows, a small object came to view. A rock with a sad face on its front approached them giving small jumps. It had to be the attacker but it was really confusing. The rock itself looked pathetic but the wave they were attacked with seemed very powerful. "Gallade, what is that?" The Princess asked looking at the curious rock for over his shoulder. "I do not know... I have never seen something like it..." Gallade kept his guard up despite the look of its apparent enemy. The rock suddenly had stopped close to them and waited there... Waited for Gallade to get closer just a little bit more before a purple mass with green spheres emerged from the mouth of the rock, yelling "Spiritomb!"

The Princess backed surprised but Gallade fought right away with a Close Combat, still, none of his attacks could hit Spiritomb, his fists just got through the purple mass

The Princess backed surprised but Gallade fought right away with a Close Combat, still, none of his attacks could hit Spiritomb, his fists just got through the purple mass. Spiritomb had a wicked smile, mocking Gallade. Realizing his attacks did not work, Gallade, jumped backward and threw multiple Psycho Cuts. The pink blades hit Spiritomb, the purple mass shook but the same wicked smile remained. It had suffered no damage. Gallade was shocked. If none of his attacks had effect on that pokemon, then how would he be able to defeat it?

Gallade had already attacked, now it was Spiritomb's turn. It threw an attack after another while approaching Gallade, an Ominous Wind for getting stronger and then a Dark Pulse. Gallade could evade a pair of attacks and rise a Protect but at some point, the barrier failed him, he was hit by an Ominous Wind. It was super effective and made him hit a tree. Still, he was a strong warrior and could continue fighting with no problem but before he could move an inch, some if Spiritomb's mass trapped him against the tree, like if he was tied up. "Gallade!" The Princess yelled his name and tried to approach to help him but Gallade ordered her to run away. After all, Gallade was just an obstacle to Spiritomb's real target.
