Abel
"So this is where you are," I say to Rosalina as I walk into the bathroom, holding Cherish.
Rosalina looks up at me, smiling. "I needed to relax," she sighs, reaching forward for Cherish's hand.
Cherish beams at Rosalina and holds onto her hand. She holds out her arms, indicating that she wants Rosalina to hold her, but I pull her back, since Rosalina's in the bath.
Stroking Cherish's hair to stop her from crying, I look down at Rosalina. "Are you going to fire that girl?" I want to know.
Rosalina looks up at me, frowning. "And why would I do that, Abel?" she asks, arching her eyebrow. She lifts her leg up and watches the water drip down he leg. "Especially when I can have so much fun with her."
I furrow my eyebrows. "Why the hell would you want her around? Around you? Around Cherish?" I question, causing Rosalina to roll her eyes slightly.
She smirks and moves the bubbles around her. "Like I said before - because I can have so much fun with her," she tells me with a devilish smile.
Rosalina shifts around in the tub, causing her wet, glistening breasts to become exposed.
I bite my lip, watching as the water drips down them. My gaze rips away from her when I feel Cherish squirming around. "Shh," I hush in a soft voice, tapping her back gently.
"She must be tired," Rosalina says, smiling at Cherish, who continues to squirm. "How about you give her to Sofia and join me in here?"
I smile. "Tempting," I say and Rosalina tilts her head to the side and bites her lip. "Very tempting." I look at Cherish again who is now laying her head on my shoulder. "Not quite though."
Rosalina rolls her eyes, clearly annoyed. She mutters something under her breath before playing around with he bubbles again. "Fine then," she sniffs as I begin to make my way out the bathroom. "Maybe I should just have some fun with Aubrey then? I'm sure he'd be up for it."
I turn around with a smirk on my face. "Yeah, I highly doubt that, my love," I snort. "Did you see him with his wife the other night at the bar? Yeah, there's no way you're going to be having 'fun' with him."
Rosalina twists her mouth, staring at me with a cold look. "I'm sure I can tempt him into it," she says confidently and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah, I'd like to see you try, Rosa," I say, patting Cherish's back gently. I press my lips against her forehead. "Your mummy's a crazy lady, isn't she?"
"Oh, go fuck yourself Abel!" Rosalina snaps angrily.
I just chuckle in response, loving how angry I've made her. "Don't be like that, darling," I say with a wide smile on my face. "Just because I didn't take up your offer -"
"Just get out, Abel," Rosalina mutters. She starts smirking. "Just you wait, I'm going to get both Aubrey and Loretta."
I roll my eyes. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," I mumble, walking out the bathroom and closing the door behind me.
I shake my head, sighing quietly.
Rosalina really wants to be the snake in the garden of Eden. She wants to make both Aubrey and Loretta take a bite out of the 'apple,' like Adam and Eve. They'll be damned if they do.I walk up and down with Cherish in my arms, hoping to put her to sleep but she continues to fuss around.
"What do you want, baby?" I ask softly against her hair. "Are you hungry?"
I go to the kitchen and grab a bottle of milk, seeing if she wants it but she swerves her head to the side, beginning to cry.
"Sshh," I hush, putting the bottle to the side and going out to the garden.
The little walk around the garden doesn't help and Cherish ends up crying louder by every second.
The doorbell rings and I go back into the house, walking to the front door and opening it to reveal the new babysitter, Loretta.
"Hi," she says. "I'm Loretta, the new babysitter."
I smile, studying her slowly. She's pretty, almost a splitting image of Rosalina, only this one is more innocent and pure than Rosalina.
"I'm Abel," I tell her. "Come in." I step aside and allow her to step into the house. "This is Cherish."
Cherish stares at Loretta, realising she's someone new.
"Hi!" Loretta exclaims, tickling Cherish, who starts to smile. "She's so cute! She looks exactly like you!"
To my surprise, Cherish opens her arms, wanting Loretta to hold her.
"She likes you," I comment darkly, holding out Cherish so she can go to Loretta. "Well, I guess that's a good thing."
I shove my hands in my pockets and squint at her, watching as she tickles Cherish, who begins to giggle adorably.
Shit, I think to myself. Rosalina"s not going to like this at all.
Shaking the thought away, I scratch the back of my head. "Let me show you around," I say, beginning to walk.
Loretta follows close behind, her heels clicking against the ground. "Where's Mrs Tesfaye?" she wants to know.
"Having a bath," I say dismissively as I continue walking.
"You have a really nice home," Loretta comments, looking around.
I smirk. And you'll never believe what happens here, I want to say, but can't.
"Thank you," I say instead.
I continue showing her the rest of the house and by the end of it, we're sitting in the living room, waiting for Rosalina to come out, but she's taking her time.
"So, are you and Aubrey planning on having children soon?" I ask, deciding to be nosey
Loretta nods slowly. "Yeah, we're talking about it," she says, smiling down at the sight of Cherish playing with her bracelet. She looks up at me, smiling. "How much of a coincidence is it that both me and my husband are working with you and your wife?"
I smile, nodding in agreement. "It's crazy," I say, looking uncomfortably at the sight of Cherish clinging onto Loretta.
Dread fills me when I hear Rosalina calling out for me. "Abel? Where are you?"
"In here!" I answer.
Her footsteps get closer and I twist my neck to look at her. She's dressed in all black and her heels click against the ground. "Did . . .?" she starts to ask but stops when she notices Loretta sitting on the couch with Cherish in her arms. "Oh."
Loretta smiles politely. "Hi, Mrs Tesfaye," she says and Rosalina smiles coldly at her.
My wife turns to look at me, glaring before looking back at Loretta with a fake smile plastered on her face. "Call me Rosalina, Loretta," she says and Loretta nods. "Has Abel shown you around yet?"
"Yeah, I have," I say, but Rosalina doesn't look at me.
Oh fuck, she's mad.
It's not my fault though. She's going to have to get used to another woman being around Cherish and holding her, even if that person is Loretta.
