WEDNESDAY JUNE 4TH:

Maxwell's Journal:

Wow, it seems like EVERYTHING is going the way that I want it to, just as planned.

1. I have Nikki's phone number.

2. I have gotten closer to her.

3. I now know who her friends are.

A TRIPLE!

It's enough to celebrate about, but I won't start since I haven't won her over... YET.

But with the one rule that Roberts and I have agreed on, I feel like I could actually stand a chance against him now. That rule being...

NEITHER OF US SHALL BE ALLOWED TO ASK NIKKI MAXWELL OUT. SHE MUST ASK US.

It's pretty simple, just spend more time with her than he does and I shall have the love of my life in no time.

Besides... I have had the privilege of meeting her friends today.

And I didn't even have to find them, THEY found me, they unexpectedly came out of nowhere and pulled me into some closet. They wanted to talk to me to get to know me better. I must admit, they do seem pretty intimidating to some extent.

"So Mr. New Guy, explain yourself." Girl 1 said.

"Well, that's Mr. Negrini to you." I replied in a cool manner.

"I don't care what your last name is, just EXPLAIN yourself." Girl 2 said.

"Well, I was walking down this hallway before I was unexpectedly grabbed and pulled into this closet out of nowhere." I explained.

"Don't play dumb, you know what we're talking about." Girl 1 said.

"What are your intentions with Nikki? Explain before I leave you unconscious!" Girl 2 said as she raised a fist to me.

This had to be the first time in a while that I have actually felt intimidated enough to break my 'cool guy' act.

"Okay, okay, Don't kill me. I will first introduce myself so you both know who I am." I saved myself from a quick death.

"Hmph, okay let's hear it." Girl 2 said as she lowered her fist.

"My name is Maxwell Negrini, I recently trans-"

"Yeah, yeah, we know about that. Skip it! What are your intentions with our friend?" Girl 2 interupted me.

It seems like they know exactly who I am. Has Nikki told them about me? Or do they just dislike formal introductions?

"I recently met your friend Nikki, and we have been getting close to each other in quite a fast amount of time. When I first saw her, she was crying due to the fact that her diary had been torn apart by this 'Mackenzie' girl. I was able to cheer Nikki up and even make her laugh." I explained.

They both seemed pretty amazed at this.

"Okay... I will admit, Nikki's diary was her most prized possession and the fact that you cheered her up after she lost it is pretty impressive, continue." Girl 1 explained.

"During our second meeting I got to know her better, I even sketched a portrait of her for her. It was a great conversation since I found out that we have a lot in common." I explained further.

"She told us that she had a lot in common with you, carry on." Girl 1 said.

"Well, I'll just cut to the chase on what my intentions actually are. I'll be honest with you since nobody likes a liar. From the moment that I first saw her I have been in love with her, she is very kind and considerate. She doesn't deserve to be harmed the way that she currently is by Mackenzie or by anyone. I wish to protect her from any harm so that her beautiful eyes will no longer be filled with any tears. Therefore I want to be her boyfriend." I finally explained my full intentions to them, it was only fair that they should be given permission to know (since they are such good friends with Nikki.).

They both stared in silence for what seemed like forever before...

"SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Girl 2 who at first wanted to knock me unconscious squealed like some fangirl at a Justin Bieber concert.

"Why didn't you just say so? If that's how you truly feel about her then we have no problems with you. Chloe calm yourself." Girl 1 said.

"I CAN'T, THAT WAS TOO ROMANTIC! I'M FREAKING OUT!" Girl 2 who I now know is called Chloe yelled.

"You do know that we don't want anyone knowing that we're in here!" Girl 1 whisper yelled.

"Okay Zoey, I'll calm down. For your sake." Chloe said.

So, Girl 1's name is Zoey. Interesting, now I know both of their names.

"Um, should I get going now?" I asked for permission to leave.

"Sure, but I will say one thing. You aren't the only guy with those intentions.

"Trust me, I know who Roberts is. If you're friends with him then please send him my regards." I said.

"Okay, but please remember 'Competition brings out the best in products and the worst in people-"

"And that quote was by David Sarnoff, correct?"

She looked quite shocked that I actually knew the quote that she had said.

"That's right, usually people don't understand the quotes that I say or know who said them. I sometimes wonder if they think that I'm not normal."

I felt pretty bad for her, so I decided to cheer her up with yet another quote.

"Wow, you seem to know your stuff." Zoey said.

"It comes naturally when you have a knowledge of psychology. I better be going now since lunch is about to come to an end. Also if Nikki DOES happen to have feelings for me AND at the same time has feelings for Roberts, then I'll leave you two with one last quote...
