3 years..

Jazmine poured down tears, falling to her knees as she saw her father's life drift away from him. Right before her eyes. Her eyes went from a beautiful emerald to a cloudy shade of what appeared to be almost gray. Her eyes grew weak and puffy as she watched him lay on his bed, trying to grasp onto some air. But, when he flatlined. That was it. Jazmine could feel her chest tighten as she held on the now lifeless body of Tom DuBois. Where are the others at this time of grief? Nowhere in the hospital room. She came alone, she didn't wish to see her friends watch her cry. All three of them at least. Where was Huey? Gone. Jazmine assumed he was dead too, causing her to hyperventilate. She couldn't take much more of the pain. When the nurses rushed in. It took 7 of them to remove her from the room and 2 of them to calm her down. Or at least try to. Jazmine finally gave in and wept on one of the nurses' shoulder, who just simply rubbed the adolescents back. Jazmine didn't know what she did to deserve this pain. Her mother had left her, when she needed her the most. And her father stressed himself out until death. People would ask her where her mother was, she'd simply say she didn't know. Not only because she really didn't know, her mother went as far as to block her number. Jazmine left texts, calls, emails, letters, and even voicemails. Nothing. Jazmine let all the tears pour out of her eyes like nigara falls. Until her eyes were swollen shut. When the funeral took place a week later, she was the first one to start crying. And probably the only one. Most people in the Woodcrest area of Maryland wished death on Tom after he's locked up a lot of loved ones of others who were breaking the law. But others, they did adore the lawyer with every inch of their hearts. But some refused to say what their relationship was with him. The remaining citizens of Timid Deer Lane will never forget the lawyer. He'll forever be in their minds, and hopefully in their hearts.
