"Huey." Granddad said quietly, shaking his grandson.

"What Granddad?" he grumbled, stuffing his face into his pillow. Underneath, was a picture. A picture of Jazmine. Back when they were 10 years old, he saved it. Even when he had left, he saved it.

Cindy took the picture, and ever since he had it, he never got rid of it

Cindy took the picture, and ever since he had it, he never got rid of it.

Granddad knew he was hiding something so he quickly grabbed hold of his pillow and threw it off the bed. Revealing the picture.

"Granddad!" Huey shouted, reaching for the picture but it was too late. He had already seen it.

"You really miss her, don't you boy?" Granddad asked, rubbing his thumb on the sides of the picture.

"No. I-i don't." He snatched the picture but ended up ripping it. And at that, he felt his heart shatter into two.

Granddad's eyes widened, looking at the piece of the picture he had in his hand. He hesitantly let it fall to the floor, sighing before walking out of his room. Knowing to leave him alone to relax.

Huey couldn't feel anything. He was so numb, his heart burst at the sound of the tear. He's done something he hasn't done since his parent's death. He cried.

He fell to his knees, clenching his fists as he looked at the image on the ground. His tears burning his skin. It was so foreign to him, he didn't know it was possible. He quickly got up, wiping his tears.

Mom wouldn't let me cry. He thought.

Huey eventually relaxed at the thought of his mother, holding him in her arms. So warm and welcoming. He picked up the torn image and placed it on his nightstand.

Even if you're flawed, you're perfect to me.

Huey sat back down on his bed, it's been so long since he's seen Jazmine. But he wouldn't attempt to see her. Not after what he's said to her. Why was he so cruel to her?

"C-murph. Ion know what to do anymo. Jazzy gettin weaker and weaker by the day." Riley ranted to his girlfriend, he was so frustrated.

"Huey shouldn't be treatin Jazz like that tho, she barely speak!"

"All she do is mouth words, but she can barely do that!" Riley raised his voice, his eyebrows twitching.

"Reezy, babe calm down. I-"

"I just can't believe it C-murph. She's gone." He sighed, sitting next to her.

Cindy grabbed one of her scrap books, it was filled with memories with Jazmine in it, their friendship over the years. Especially when she was in the 8th grade and she suffered from an eating disorder. Jazmine was there for her, every step of the way. Riley took the scrap book and skimmed through it, memories floating in his mind.
