It's been 1 week. Jazmine was slowly recovering while Derek recovered quicker and was already behind bars for assault and domestic abuse. The last thing he said was that the moment he got out of jail, he'd kill Jazmine.

"Huey." Jazmine weakly called, groaning as she tried to sit up.
Huey had a teddy bear in his hands, he simply set the teddy bear beside her before taking a seat in a chair. "How are you feeling?"
"Weak." She said truthfully.
"Well, I have a surprise for you." Huey said, trying to lighten the mood.
"What is it?" she asked curiously.
He handed her a picture, it was of her and Granddad. She was 16 in this picture. That was the day Granddad had found out Sarah had left her and Tom. The same day Granddad took her under his wing. Jazmine started to tear up before kissing the picture, looking at Huey. "Thank you."
He had gotten up from the chair he was in and stood beside her bed. "Listen, I have something to tell you. Just listen okay?"
Jazmine nodded.
"Granddad made me promise to take care of you. And be the man in your life, because he knew Derek wasn't the man you needed. I promised him I'd protect you, I promised you that I would protect you. And now is the time I can fulfill that promise. Jazmine, you don't understand how much I thought of you when I left Woodcrest. You were on my mind constantly, believe me when I say that. I may not of said goodbye, I still thought of you. I missed you, I really did. You're my sunshine, my family, and the light at the end of my tunnel. Jazmine, I hate how you make me feel but I've grown to enjoy it. Because Jazmine DuBois, I love you."
Jazmine smiled, tears cascading from her eyes. "Can I tell you something?"
"What is it?" Huey asked.
"I love you too."
Huey leaned over her bed and kissed her soft pink lips. The lips that Derek mistreated, but the same lips that'd he'd enjoy until the end. He'd be a better boyfriend than Derek ever was. And then he'd put a ring on her finger. That was his goal, his main priority.
To make Jazmine, his wife.
