I cannot remember the last time I actually did an entire part dedicated to an author's note in the middle of a book. To be honest, I didn't want to have to do it on this book. Unfortunately, it seems that I need to.
I have had several people comment regarding updates. Some of them have been kind, ones that (I hope) I responded to nicely in return. Others, on the other hand, have sounded like demands.
To clear the matter of updates up, please do not comment simply saying "update" or write a comment demanding an update. I love this book just as much as everyone does, probably more, because I love these fandoms enough to write for them. Before I wrote for DC, I've written for Doctor Who - four series right now, and I have even more planned for the future. The only thing that stopped me from updating those is the same thing that's slowing updates now for me.
I have stated several times that college is keeping me more busy than high school ever did - last week, I was even up until after five the next morning attempting to finish an essay that I still wasn't finished with before I went to bed. And as I have stated before, my education comes before fanfiction. I do not want to be that one college student whose excuse for receiving a poor grade is "I was up until past midnight writing fanfiction." I do not want to be that one student who did not graduate with the degree they wanted to get the job they wanted because social media kept them from that.
My education comes first. Wattpad comes second. Please, do not demand updates from me. I promise I will update. In fact, I hope to have this updated tomorrow. I repeat - I HOPE. That is partly because it is now midterm break, and I have the time to write.
I love people who read my books. I love comments - they help encourage me to keep going. I encourage people to leave comments. They let me know how I'm doing, especially with this series, because I do not know the DC universe as well as I know Doctor Who or Marvel.
Just please, do not demand something of me when there are other important factors in my life that are keeping me from updating.
If you have read this, thank you. I appreciate everyone who reads my books, and I hope it shows in my writing and comments I write back. All I ask in response is to be kind in comments about updates.
On that note, happy October, everyone! And I hope to update this by the end of the week.
