falling apart

i wiped away story's tears and placed her in the ground. i couldn't believe ross had just disrespected me like that. he just scared story to death and even scared me. that was not him in there. i was scared myself. i just, i just wanted a hug from justin and rydel.

"go, to my room, okay bubba? i'll be there in a few." i whispered in her ear. then she ran to my room and slammed the door. i looked at ross and shook my head, wiping my tears. he rolled his eyes and walked downstairs. oh no, this motherfucker was about to get a piece of my mind.

"what the fuck is wrong with you? really? you scared her so bad ross!" i yelled in his face, pushing his chest. i was mad and i was hurt. first, he took me as a damn joke and then he touches and scares my daughter. im about to scream at him so loud, i might get a noise complain.

"you're so ridiculous, i didn't scare her and if I did, you're not raising your kid well. you treat story like she is the little baby. come on laura. she's fucking 3,  she's not a newborn." he yelled back. "i can't even believe i decided to date you, you're so pathetic." he mumbled, rolling his eyes.

"you don't tell me how to raise my daughter! you don't know what the fuck I've been through!" i yelled at him, i was about to let it out. "i raise my daughter how i want. she's my kid. you scared her and you even scared me! like what the hell were you thinking? i told you she was sick and you didn't even took that into consideration as you shook her little body! you disrespected me in a way i have never seen before. i told you, that you couldn't go near her. cause you fucking scare her, you make her sad!" i yelled, poking his chest with my finger. i was tired of his bullshit.

"oh come on." he tried saying but i raised my hands, as a sign of 'i don't wanna hear it' i was about to tell him how i feel in his face and he'll have to deal with it.

"no, listen to me. you have been such a nice guy and have been good to me. but tonight, you crossed the line. you really did. you scared her ross! I've never seen her so damn scared! and if you don't know why you're dating me, then i don't know either! i really don't. you're such a fucking asshole and if you don't start behaving like a 21 years old you are, don't even bother talking to me. now get out!" i yelled, pointing at the door. his eyes widen and i could see the regret in his brown eyes.

"laura, im sorry, i wasn't thinking." he tried saying again. but i wasn't going to listen. not anymore. he just scared my daughter and told me how to raise my god damn kid.

"get out! now!" i yelled ever harder, i felt like my vocal cords were going to burst any second. he sighed and looked at me, as i kept pointing at the door. he kept saying sorry but i didn't care. after a while, he understood he didn't had a chance and finally left my house.

i wiped the sweat off my forehead. it was a sunny day, full of work to do. this camp is a lot of work actually but it's fun. it's fun seeing the kids in here fall or cry, saying it's way too hard. they surely don't know how war's like. i sat down in a rock near my group, making sure they were exercising like i told them to. i grabbed my phone and dialed Laura's number. i miss them way too hard. we've talked everyday and every time she texts, i try my hardest to reply. i pressed the phone to my ear and waited for her to reply. and she did. but that someone was little story.

"justin!" she said loudly, her voice sounding different, like she has a lump on her throat but still, it made me so happy listening to her cute voice, i find myself smiling.

"hey baby, how're you?" i asked, smiling at my dirty shoes. i heard story sniffle and in that instant, i turn serious, did something happen?

"if i tell you, don't tell mommy." she said, weakly. i sighed and licked my lips, worried as hell. what could've happened?

"i won't, princess. what's going on?" i asked trying to sound as sweet as possible. she sighed shakily and took a deep breath. i could tell she was crying.

"s-so, i was sleeping while mommy and ross were downstairs in the living room. i woke up to some screaming but fell asleep right after." she said softly, making my heart skip a beat, I just wanna hug her.

"but ross, he came into my room and started shaking me and telling me to tell mommy that i wanted to see him and that i loved him." i heard her sob and then i stood up, if he hurt them, im not holding back any punches. "momma was crying and he scared me. he kept yelling at me and at mommy." she cried into the phone. "they're still yelling downstairs and im so scared, juju." she cried, making me frown, i started walking in circles.

i frowned, those two poor girls have been through so much and ross decides to make it harder for them. i just wanna go back to Florida and rip his head off. but right now, i need to calm story down and calm myself down. im breathing like a fucking bull and my hands are sweating.

"oh baby, im so sorry but let's do something. let's forget about what just happened and let's talk about something happy yeah? and if mommy comes in the room, pass her the phone, okay? i need to talk to her." i asked, clearing my throat. I heard her say yes as i smiled a bit. "tell me something you have done while im gone with mommy that you really liked?" i asked, running a hand though my hair.

"mommy took me to the zoo." she said sniffing again. i smiled and licked my lips.

"which animal did you liked the most?" i asked, looking back at my group, who were still exercising, making me proud. all of the sargeants denied it but my group is the best. the other kids in the camp aren't as determined as mine.

"the lion!! he was so cute, juju. you needed to see him!" she squealed and giggled, making me smile big. finally, i heard her laugh. it made my day hearing story laugh. "oh mommy just came up!!" she said softly.

my stomach turned. she should be feeling like shit right now. and im not there to help her. i bit my lip and look at the sky, wishing to be with them right now.

"yes? pass her the phone baby." i said softly, i was anxious to know why the fuck ross scared them like that. if he hit any of them, im flying out to florida to best his ass im not joking.

i heard the door open from the other line and story asking if laura was okay. as always, she replied she was fine, even though she really isn't. i sighed and shook my head,

"mommy, juju called and he wants to talk to you." story said softly, and shyly. making my heart melt, she's so adorable. i heard laura ask if i was still on the phone, with so much excitement. i smiled, knowing she misses me like i do.

"justin?" i heard her. her voice was weak and soar, like she had been screaming a lot. she sounded tired and so hurt. my eyes started burning and my palms were now in a fist. laura was extremely hurt and i couldn't do anything.

"baby.." i said softly, hearing her break down in tears. her sobs were so loud and full of hurt. i just wanted to be there and hug her. and make sure both of my girls are alright but i can't.
