Akuma POV

My metal slithering back to me dripping with blood, the six rouges lying on the ground lifeless. I whip the blood off my metal, having it latch back on in its usual places on my body. Walking over to the bodies, I crouched to see which village they're from, checking my bingo bo- only one of them has a bounty and not for a very high price, so I leave the carcasses there.

I continue walking like nothing happened, my mind ticks, then again six rouges are nothing. I've fought more at one time, stronger than them put together. It wasn't even considered a fight-

Is this narcissism?

...Nah... probably not...

-it was just me standing there strangely -a bit awkwardly- listening too them talking smack for ten seconds, and then them lifeless.

No fun at all.

Maybe I should find a village to work for... or not... but at least I'd get actual missions again.

My head tilts back as I groan at my thoughts, I walk forward.

Boredom was an issue of mine since I was used to constant movement thanks to-

No, don't think about it.

...I need a hobby.

A flare of irritation rolls through me before I tire out with a sigh... it was an old battle since birth. It didn't use to bother me until I started killing, the ability I was born with and metal I remembered rocking me to sleep when it felt my distress in my crib, I began to fear it. It started when they forced me to spar and I'd first cut someone for the first time, enough to cut deep into to them to make blood pour from the wound, when the metal came back to my body I threw it away.

It was warm.

My opponent's body heat had been absorbed into the metal and it... I was revolted. My teachers and parents were far from happy with my aversion from metal... what they did to force me into accepting it-

Don't think about it.

My fists clench trying to dodge the memories, the metal was cooling but thankfully I'd gotten over my nausea over my opponent's body heat being absorbed into mine. It used to make my skin crawl. A part of me, a desperate part, wondered if my metal was alive once upon a time. I was unstable at that time, wanting companionship desperately, I'd made 'friends' in my metal... My village was very unnerved by my actions, especially when we felt like killing random people we didn't like. Thankfully I went through three psychologists before they got me to help out at a pet shop and into sculpting.

Looking to the skies I notice the trees swaying with the wind and the birds singing, these woods were really peaceful... you can't even imagine ninja fighting and killing here. I walk with my eyes closed, relaxed, until I hear a child's laughter. Quickly jumping into a tree twenty-five ft off the ground, observing and spot a family traveling.

Adult male and female, adolescent male.

Looking closer at their body language, I make up their dynamics-

Mother, father, son.

The parents were holding both hands of the boy swinging him as they walk, smiling. I don't understand them. I don't understand why they are so loud and why they are smiling at the boy. It is... foreign to me, never experiencing this. Settling into the nook of the branch, I just watched them and wonder how long until a rogue or bandits find them because of their loudness.

...As if on cue, 7 rouges sweep down in front of them, yelling and demanding they give them their money and things that are worth anything. I think it was a small ball of disgust that was swirling in my gut by the way one of them is eyeing the mother from head to toe. It wasn't uncommon at all, I'd seen it happen... but mission came first.

That's what they said.

Don't think about it.

They grab the child and tell the mother to strip... to give them a show so then they can have some more fun. It's when they held the knife to the boy closer drawing a tiny bit of blood, something snapped inside and I lunge.

Unknown POV

Gai, Ibiki, and I just got done investigating, killing a group of rouges merely hours ago, and are heading back to the village. It was odd that rouges were starting to group together now, an investigation was deemed necessary, bringing Ibiki because he can make nearly anyone talk... even I am afraid to be 'investigated' by him.

Not that I'd admit it.

"Hey Kakashi, Ibiki, do you all feel that?" Gai said. Looking at him, I could see the small hairs on the back of his neck standing up.

"What are you talking about Gai? You're probably still energized from the battle with the rouges," Ibiki said and I agreed.

"No somethings off, its weird. I can't explain it." Gai shivered.

If Gai shivered, and not from realizing that he is too old to be talking about the power of youth, then something is wrong... but his strange gut instinct to know on random occasions shouldn't be ignored.

"Gai, lead us in the direction that is feeling the worst. It may be nothing, but this place is close to where we killed the rouges, I don't want to take any chances," I ordered while sighing. My Icha Icha marathon... depression makes my head drop.

"Kakashi is right, do it. Better safe than sorry," Ibiki said, ignoring the cloud over my head.

Gai reluctantly changed direction slightly closer to the village. Not good.

We followed Gai for three minutes to find a group of six dead rouges. They were very clean kills with little blood spill, there were even chakra burns from the weapons transfer that cauterized the wounds, not a feat just anyone could do while in battle with the chakra control one needed.  We all agreed that whoever did this was extremely skilled.. possible ANBU rank.

"There's only one that is in the bingo book and not really that important. The bodies were left out in the open, no burn or disposed of. I don't think it was ANBU," Ibiki said.

"I agree, someone who isn't ANBU but possibly a skill level to be one," I said impressed. Gai also agreed.

Suddenly there was an ear-piercing scream that was very close. Taking off in its direction, we reach it barely two minutes later. We stopped high in a tree looking down, hidden, there was a group of rouges robbing a family of three. My gut turned when they were telling the woman to strip. Right, when we were going to jump into action two of the seven rouges dropped dead, their heads rolling making me blink.

Internally sighing, Icha Icha was so much simpler.
