Hokage POV
I stare at the girl in the hospital bed in front of me.
Ibiki and the others told me everything that happened... and about the mark. I admit I am intrigued by her abilities. Everything I've heard about her tells me she'll be a great ninja, but I'm worried about how she was trained so far. Her skill level at this age, quite above other children at this age, but with no affiliations has me worried about what happened. A village wouldn't let go of an asset of her caliber as Ibiki described...
Sighing, there are many questions.
But there is the fact she went out of her way to save a family, more so a child from a group of rouges. It gives me some hope that she wants to take a positive path in her life.
Hard facts-
A full exam by the doctors aged her bones to be twelve, having an official age to go with the skill level had him thinking of Kakashi and Itachi, two very advanced shinobi that had taken two very different paths.
She has been properly trained. Medics could tell for certain in the large flexible chakra network, external and internal scars that particularly come from a shinobi life, area of callouses on hands and feet from weapons handling and long hours of training, reflex tests while unconscious proved her body had been trained since very young and responded like Jounin's and ANBU... even unconscious she incapacitated two medics before being sedated by ANBU.
There was no marks of affiliation on her person. He and his advisors had discussed that it was a strong indicator that she was a rouge, or affiliated with one, even a criminal organization with shinobi members.
Her appearance is a possible threat. The skill she displayed, unique techniques, and large chakra pool automatically earned her a spot on that list. ANBU guards were posted immediately at all times, advisors and council were given notification of her arrival, nothing too in-depth, just her entrance. Gai, Ibiki, and Kakashi each had given their report of their reason of granting her entrance. Gai's was expected, always the optimist, though his evaluation of her taijutsu demonstration was notable. Ibiki's was surprising, reading between the lines, while a threat he was granting her entrance for proper evaluation... out of curiosity... Ibiki didn't do curiosity. That had me chuckling. Kakashi's was interesting and calculated, as expected, between the lines was the added worry about her health was confusing...
All in all, three elite shinobi were interested in the child.
Ibiki said she was of ANBU level, even Kakashi, and for Ibiki to say that means she strong. I assigned four ANBU to watch over her on Ibiki's request. Reports tell that Kakashi has come to visit her a few times, which surprises me. I wonder what that's all about as I walk out the door... but I won't ask.
...yet.
Akuma POV
All I see is darkness.
I hear screams, bloody screams.
I see my mother and father coming at me with disgust and bloodthirst in their hazed eyes.
My breathing increases, hitching in my chest, and my heartbeat stops.
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Then my eyes shoot open and I sit up fast, trying to breathe. I close my eyes and grip my head trying to forget, trying to push away the pain. I reach to my neck for my turquoise gem on my choker, the one thing that they couldn't take away. I infused the sides of the gem into the choker so it could not be removed. It made them mad and hurt me more for a while, but I didn't mind. It was the only thing that was truly mine.
