Akuma dream POV
I'm glued in my spot watching the two-year-old me running home from playing in the fields with other girls my age and their mothers, since mom and 'dad' had business stuff with the village again. My tiny chest was puffed out since I was more advanced than other kids my age, though I didn't show it, it made me happy to stand out levels above my peers for my mother and father's sake.
I see my little self walk in calling for mom and dad, I am right behind her gripping my head knowing what comes next.
My little self hears the door close.
Stop.
Please, body wake up, please.
No more, please.
I lift my head right when I see little-self being beaten. No matter what I do it's like I'm a ghost, I just phase through them.
"Your so precious aren't you, the metal bender, we're just supposed to fall to your feet," he slurred. He draws a kunai and slashes me over and over. I grip my ears and close my eyes feeling the pain over again.
Please.
I look up again and curse at my bad timing. Uncle has just strapped little me in the chair. I'm screaming for this nightmare to stop, hell I'm even praying. He pulls out the clear liquid which little me will find out is sulfuric acid. Little me is crying and bleeding, while I'm still screaming for this to stop. He lifts it above her head, I feel the pain I felt ten years ago, and scream.
ANBU POV
Screaming is what we heard. Thankfully we put the shield up so no one can hear her. What the hell is she dreaming of? What happened to her? I turn and leave to report to the Hokage.
Akuma POV
I wake, sitting up and clutching my head while tucking my knees in.
Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck.
The repetition had been on repeat for awhile. I hate sleeping, but the malnutrition and interacting with others is taking a toll. Glancing at the clock it read 7:46. Forty-four minutes till school, leave here in twenty-nine minutes, hunt school down for fifteen minutes.
Coming back to my senses, looking around, I see that the room looks like a tornado hit it. I bend the metal to put it back in place while getting up to head to the bathroom. Taking a 15 minute shower, I admired the tiles. Luxury wasn't something I was used to... then this wasn't a luxury to most people. When I get dressed, I think about the group's reaction yesterday... hesitantly I slip on the black cargo pants and keep my crop tops, before bending the metal in the right places, wrap my bandages and place my pouches and strap on, and strap my wakizashis on the back of my belt.
Leave in 9 minutes. Deciding to make a slice of toast knowing the coming day will be hard, especially with a headache that formed from the nightmare. I wash my dishes, choosing to sit till time to depart.
Seeing it is time to leave, I pull on my boots before locking the door and leave. Walking out to the streets I realize that it would just be a maze, jumping to the rooftops I start searching for the Academy. While I hop the rooftops I memorize to the village seeing and feeling for metal that I deem good for battle, realizing I have 7 minutes left I stop turn towards the ANBU and ask where the academy is. They give me directions and I head off till I find what I'm looking for.
It's right next to the Hokage tower. Looking up, I blink. Their Hokage mountain was painted all over like a four-year-old got a hold of paint for the first time... Ah... well... not my problem...
