chapter 19

The game continued for a while. Once, Khushi had tried to cheat. She mouthed the words of the movie to her teammates without producing any sound but was badly caught by Anjali. Finally, they decided to end the game after an hour of playing, as Khushi said she needed to leave.
Both, Khushi and Payal bid bye to the other members and left the place.

Arnav's room:

Arnav was prepared for his presentation. He had set everything perfectly and left to bed. He slept on the bed with one palm under his head and eyes opened. His room was lightened due to the moonlight entering through the poolside doors. His thoughts travelled through Khushi. Her beautiful face, her innocent eyes, her smile .....everything were forcing him to think about her. He remembered their argument inside the drawing room. He should not forget that his motto was to prove Khushi as an unfit girl to do any job. But it seemed like, she was really sincere towards her work. But, being Arnav Singh Raizada he would never  accept that. He was never wrong in judging people and would never be. With her thoughts still playing in his mind, he drifted to sleep.

Gupta house:

Payal and Khushi reached the home. Buaji scolded them for reaching late but became some what cool when she had come to know that they attended Anjali's husband birthday party.

Both the sisters moved to their room. As soon as they entered, Khushi changed into her night clothes and opened the laptop which she borrowed from Preethika, her neighbour cum friend. Payal observed her typing something.

Payal: Khushi, what are you doing at this time? Its not the time to work. Come, let's sleep.

Khushi: no jiji, I have work and it must be completed today itself. You sleep. I will sleep after completing this.

Payal: This much work on first day itself, Khushi? Is that Arnav Singh Raizada still behaves coldly with you? Is he taking some sort of revenge by assigning a lot of work to you?

Khushi: Ha jiji. Bed is inviting me to come and sleep peacefully on it, but what to do, if I don't complete this, that laad governor will dance on my head and will taunt me. Don't worry jiji, he will be like this with all his staff members, not only me.

Khushi assures Payal, by saying this. But Payal is still worried for her sister.

Payal: Khushi, you need to go to office tomorrow. If you sleep late, then how will you manage? You might get sleep during your work.

Khushi: don't worry jiji, I will manage. Its just typing and so I don't need to work hard.

Payal: Ok then, I will help you in typing. You go and rest so that you could get up early.

Payal argues with Khushi that she could sleep till late morning while Khushi needs to hurry to the office. Finally, Payal convinces Khushi that she would complete that typing work. So, having no other option, Khushi goes to bed taking a promise from Payal that she should wake her up if there is any problem or if she feels sleepy.

Khushi finally sleeps and Payal continues with the task assigned to Khushi by her boss. After 2 hours of continuous typing, the work gets completed. Payal writes a note saying 'check it once', places it rightly on the table and goes to bed.

Next morning:

As soon as Khushi wakes up, she opens the laptop and finds the work to be completed. She smiles and then, observes the note on her table. 'Wow jiji, Thank you for this help. I know there is no need to check it once more but still, I will as you said', she replies in that same chit. She checks everything, copies to pendrive, get readied and starts to office after having her breakfast.

Arnav's cabin:

Khushi knocks the door and enters Arnav's cabin receiving his nod.

Khushi enters in with his black coffee and places it on his table.

Khushi: sir, your coffee.

Arnav: I hope you know I am diabetic and you don't have any plans to murder me.

Khushi: Its sugar free, sir. You can drink. By the way, even I don't want to become a criminal by killing a famous business tycoon.

Arnav holded the coffee mug and took his first sip. He lost his senses for a second but came back to his normal mode again. The coffee was really good, infact excellent. But, he should not praise. Its against ASR's style. He would never appreciate anyone and definitely not Khushi. He turned to Khushi again.

Arnav: Are you done with the work?( He asked with a mischievous smile)

Khushi: yes, sir.

Arnav was little bit shocked to hear that as he had not expected that. Infact, everything was going opposite to his expectations, in case of Khushi.

Arnav: completed totally?( He questioned as if he is not ready to hear a yes from her)

Khushi was confused by his way of questioning.

Khushi: yes, sir( she answered shrugging her shoulders)

Arnav:Ok, mail me( he said to observe her work)

Khushi nodded and was about to go when he stopped her again.

Arnav: miss. Gupta, ask Sheetal to come to my cabin along with the new designs.

Khushi: ok, sir.

Khushi goes from there while Arnav enjoys his 'black coffee' made by his employee.

Khushi goes to the designing section and informs Sheetal that ASR is calling her and moves towards her desk again.

She is about to continue the work assigned by Arnav when she sees something placed on her table. She opens it and finds some photos. She gets shocked to see them. They shows ASR at her cubicle and he is trying to do something in her computer. The next photo, cleared her doubts. Her boss is the one, who deleted the entire file in her computer. So, this is the reason why he got surprised when she said that she has completed the work. Khushi became very furious. This is heights. He is playing with her. She should teach him something, now. Thinking this , she heads towards his cabin to meet Arnav.
