Telling her the truth

I thought about what Wren said. Maybe it is better to tell her now. Before I went back inside I decided to take a walk around the hospital and figure out what am I going to do. 

Spencer's POV

Wren and Toby walked out and the lady that came in was still here and sat where Toby sat

"So who are you?" I asked the lady

"Well I'm your mother" she said nicely

"My mother, but I look nothing like you, are you sure you are my mom". I said unsure. She looks like she was hiding something. What could she be hiding?

"I knew this day was going to come" she said pinching the bridge of her nose. I looked at her confused

"I am your mother, just not biologically" she said uneasy

'Wait, you're telling me I'm adopted, w-what, why/?" I asked

"Your mother was a dear friend of mine, but while she was pregnant with you, she was sick..very sick, and after she gave birth she died. I promised her that I would take care of you and raise you like she wanted" she said wiping the tears from her eyes.

I looked at her in shock. I can't believe this. I was lied to my entire life. What's next? This is alot to take in

"I'm sorry we kept this from you, we didn't know how to tell you" she says placing her hand on mine

I took a deep breath "It's okay, you did what she asked, I am mad you kept this from me, but also grateful you took me into your family" I said giving her a small smile. She smiles back and pulls me into a hug and I gave one back

"Is there anything you need?" she asked pulling back

"Can you go to the cafeteria, I had this really good cheesecake the other day, can you get please?" I asked

She smiles and gets up "Sure, anything for you" she said getting up. She took off her coat placed it on the chair and taking her wallet and left the room.

"Oh hello Toby" she said outside

"Hi Mrs. Hastings" Toby says coming in and made his way over to me

"Hey, where did you go and where is Wren?" I asked

"He's on his way, there something we have to tell you" he said rubbing the back of his head

Oh my gosh, another secret someone hid from me.

Just as I was about to respond my mom comes in with the cheesecake and a few other things such as a stuff bear that says "Get Well Soon" some balloons and of course cheesecake

"Here you go sweetie,enjoy" she said placing the food on the tray and the gifts on the nightstand and then grabs her coat and puts it on "Well Im going to your place and stay with the kids until you come home" she says

"Oh really thats amazing, I'll call Tommy and let him know that you are coming and that he can leave" he said taking out his phone and dialing his number and making the call

"I will come by tomorrow" she said

'Can you please bring the kids, I really want to see them" I begged

"If that's okay with Toby" she said. I looked at Toby with puppy eyes

"Spencer, dont make that face" he sighed. I keep doing it until he gives in

"okay fine, you can bring the kids" he sighs "Are you ready to see the kids?" he reassured me

'Yes, I want to see my babies" I said happily
