Lizzy's POV

I wake up with arms around my waist. I start to worry, but than remember it's Zach. I try to get out of his grasp but it doesn't work. I turn on my side facing him. His hair is messy and he looks so peaceful, than I see him smile. "Take a picture I will last longer." I laugh and look down. "Good morning Lizzy" he kisses my forehead. I blush and sit up "Morning bed head" I say patting his head. He puts on a hurt expression "excuse you." He laughs.

I get up and stretch "did you really mean it?" I ask Zach. "Mean what?" He asks sitting up. "When you said you promise to take care of me?" He smiles "of course I did. You aren't like those other girls. You show yourself. You aren't fake" I blush and than say "thank you. hopefully you won't leave me like my dad did" I say the last part quietly. "What?" Zach says standing up. I look at him with glossy eyes "I said. Hopefully you won't leave me like my dad did."

He walks over and hugs me. Since he is taller than me, he leans his chin on my head "Never" he whispers in my ear "thank you Zach. I haven't had a friend like you" I feel him smile against my head. " me too Lizzy" we hug for a little longer

We walk down the stairs and I see a little girl and boy "Zach!" The little girl screeches. "Hi Reese!" He picks her up and hugs her. I'm guessing it's his litter sister "who is that?" She says pointing to me. I kneel down and say "hi I'm a Lizzy I just moved here. I live down the street" she smiles and hugs me. I hesitate Than hug her back "I'm Reese. Zachs litter sister" I giggle "this is my litter brother Ryan. " Zach says putting his hands on Ryan's shoulder. I wave and we all sit down at the counter.

His mom walks down "hey guys" we all smile "Elizabeth. I talked to your mom and she asked if you could stay here the weekend she has a lot of shifts at the hospital." I smile and nod "I don't have to stay here, I think I'm imposing on y'alls life" Mrs. Herron shakes her head "no honey. We love having you here. Reese will actually have a sibling to look up to" she says and Zach and Ryan gasps "HEY!" They both yell. I laugh and so does Myta. "Your laugh is so cute" Zach says. "I was talking about a bigger sister. Zachary and Ryan." She says shaking her head. They nod in understanding. We all eat

"Thank you for the breakfast Mrs. Herron" I smile and she nods. Zach and I walk upstairs. "What do you want to do?" I ask him "Well I have to make a video?" I cock my head to the side and he laughs "I post 15 second cover on Instagram of me singing" I smile "you sing?" He nods "can I hear" he starts singing and after he was done I clap "that was amazing. I wish I could sing like that!" I hug him. "Can I use your shower?" I ask and he nods. He hands me a towel and I walk into his bathroom with my bag.

I strip my clothes and turn on my Spotify playlist. "I think I'm in love again" comes on

By the time the songs ends. I am done with my shower. I get out and get dressed. I comb through my damp blonde hair. I pull it to the side of my neck and walk out. Zach is just sitting down on his bed scrolling through Instagram.

I sit next to him and he turns to me "you sound amazing" he says "what?" I say in confusion "I heard you singing. You sound so good" he smiles. I shake my head "no. I don't." He smile and nods "you should come and perform with me at the festival" I shake my head quickly " I have very bad anxiety and panic attacks. I don't like to go out in public" I say with a shaky voice. "Oh. I didn't know. Well that's okay. I won't force you" he kisses my head "can I take a nap?" I ask him and he nods "I'll join"

I lay down and he lays down next to me. He wraps his arms around me. For once I feel safe "thanks" he says. I look at him "you said that out loud" I laugh and snuggle into his chest and let darkness take over.
