"I'll see you later, Claire." Louis leaned in for a small kiss then walked away. I opened my door and set my stuff down on the table besides the door.

The tv was on in the other room and my heart leaped for a moment. I flipped the light switch on and peered out into the living room.

Noah's hair was tousled and he was in his night clothes. He had a mug in his hands and was staring blankly at the tv.

"Hey, love." I came in and sat next to him.

"Hey. How was your night." Noah turned the volume down and give me his full attention.

Flashbacks of the night came to my mind and I briefly pushed them away.

"It was nice."

"That's good. I tried to call you, I guess your phone was dead or something."

"I'm sorry about that, babe. I turned it off for a bit cause Louis and I were talking and it was really serious. I didn't want any interruptions."

"Oh. Okay." Noah's eyes flashed to my hands and saw that he I had clenched my fingers into a fist. He took them and relaxed them into his own hands.

"What did you guys talk about?" His voice was calm.

"Just, about trying to be friends, getting in contact with each other again." I smiled. I wasn't smiling to put on a show or to convince Noah. I was smiling for different reasons. Reasons that could hurt Noah and me.

"Well, I'm glad you had fun. Why don't we go get some rest. I'm tired." Noah stood up and we both walked hand in hand upstairs.

"Good morning." Noah gave me a light kiss as I entered the kitchen.

"What are you making?" I smile back.

"Making breakfast. Pancakes and coffee." Noah hands me a plate, "Syrups on the table." I sit down and pull my hair up and run to the counter looking for a hair tie.

"Here, babe." Noah hands me one and kisses me.

"Breakfast, hair ties and kisses in the morning? What else do I deserve." I can't help but grin.

"Everything." We sit down together and talk about work and dinner with some friends from Noah's work.

"Do I need to wear something formal looking tonight? What's the occasion?" I ask.

"Just wear a nice dress, or skirt. You don't need to look like you're going to the club or a wedding, babe." Noah gets up taking our plates and putting them in the sink.

"I'm going to go get dressed. I need to head to work, got homework when I get home so I'll try my best to meet you at the restaurant."

"Alright, I'll see you later then....," Noah pauses and grabs my wrist.

"I call the shower!" He steps in front of me pushing me aside and rushing up the stairs, I run after him and yell, "that's not fair! I need the shower!" I laugh.

Noah beat me to the door standing in the doorway blocking my entrance while holding a towel with his shirt off.

"I'm already getting undressed, you can't come in here!" He pulls me to his side gripping my waist, "Or, if you wanted too, you could come in with me." He whispers lightly in my ear. His breath feels warm against my skin and I can't help but giggle.

"Let me go get a towel and I'll meet you in there." I kiss his cheek and walk down to the hall closet, Noah stands shocked at the doorway by my response. I hear the door click shut and hear the shower turn on.

I open the door and see Noah's clothes resting in a pile on the counter. I slip out of my PJs and pull my ponytail out. I take a deep breath and pull the curtain back and hop in. Noah's back faces me, his shoulders become tense once I touch his back. My fingers trace over his skin. I stand in the water and move forward to wrap my arms around him. Noah turns around and holds me close to him.

"Hi." He whispers gentle against my ear. I lightly giggle and kiss him softly.

"I love you.. Very much... I wish you could just see that." He plays with my wet hair.

"I love you as well. Very much." He kisses me more roughly.

"Don't ever leave." He whispers as he leaves trails of kisses down my body.
