*beep*
I reached out to grab my phone from the table beside my bed.
The notification said:
'WhatsApp - You have been added to a group chat'
I looked at it in surprise. I wasn't in many group chats, only the 'One Life Season 2' one and a couple of others with my friends. I also couldn't think of any reasons why I would be added to one. I opened the notification to find out more.
Nobody had said anything on it yet, so I looked on members. All of them were in my contacts:
'HeyImBee
Andrew (Sigils)
Liam (H)
Will
Zach (Graser)'
"Why did they make a new group?" I murmured, texting;
-hi, what's the new group for?
Bee: oh hi shelby!
Bee: um didn't zach tell you?
Shelby: tell me what?
Will: haha oh well i guess your not invited then
I was getting more confused by the minute.
Shelby: invited to what?
Graser: well, you know when the cube was running?
Shelby: you mean that mc server you guys were on?
Bee: yeah
Graser: so when it was still a thing, we used to have a 'cube house' in different places, where we would live in the same house for some time, and hang out
Shelby: yeah I saw the videos. But how is that related to me being invited to something?
Bee: well, for us 6 on the chat, we decided to rent a house something like that, so we could all stay there for the next few weeks.
Shelby: waaaat?
Will: haha
Liam: we're all at the house already, apart from you
Andrew: so do you want to come?
Shelby: wait. Where is this place?
Graser: north California
Shelby: what
Bee: well, do you want to go?
Shelby: yes, but how am I meant to get there? I'm gonna need to book a flight!
Will: yeah, well, how many flights every week do you think go from LA to north Cali?
Shelby: a lot...
Andrew: so go and book one
Shelby: sure
It was all very well for them to say, already there. I grumbled and scooted over to my laptop.
*TIME SKIP 5 HOURS*
Shelby: okay, flight booked, I'll arrive in north California at 8:55 pm on Monday
Andrew: need someone to pick you up?
Shelby: nah, I'll probably get a cab
I switched off my phone and ran to my wardrobe to pack.
