After the meeting, Eva went into the restroom and stared at herself in the mirror. Still a bit frazzled from the gunfight, she still looked put together. Now that she knows that Philippe had been spying on her, she now has to swap colors in just a matter of minutes. Red to purple, pink star to a purple fleur de leis. Morningstar to Saints, in a way she was happy because she actually gets to meet the famous gang, but afraid because she has to be a double agent for the Morningstar. In just a matter of days, she became a gang member, she shot and killed some people and now she has to continue in order to survive this city.
Eva grabbed some paper towels and wetted them under the sink, she proceeded to wipe the sweat from her face and neck, after that she washed her hands and took another look in the mirror. No longer a quiet graphic designer, she was now a gang member and double agent for a crime syndicate. She really couldn't back out now, she agreed to do the mission and as long as Loren is alive and her current boss, she couldn't say no. Or maybe this mission could be her way out, in order to be saved, she would have to become a saint herself, she would have to save herself. This mission could be beneficial, all she had to do was play her cards right.
Eva straightened out her clothes and walked out of the restroom with the mission pounding in her mind. She walked back to her office until Viola stopped her.
"Sort of a fast switch huh?" Viola called out from behind. Eva turned around only to be face to face with Viola.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that," Eva replied.
"Just some words of advice, try not to go let this go to your head. If you need any help, you could call me or Antoine if you need some guidance." Viola gave a reassuring look.
"Thanks, but there's one thing."
"What's that?"
"Infiltrating the Saints, how do I go about this, I mean I can't just walk in there, trying to join the group. I need a better approach."
Viola folded her arms and began to think. "You're right, I don't think the Saints are that dense to notice something off with their usual gang. Especially when you look nothing like their crew or anybody from Steelport for that matter. I got it, even though you're still working with us, you can a be an ally, that will put you above the standard gang member and they'll be more likely to trust you. "
"That could work, but still how will that involve you guys?" Eva asked. "I guess I could be some mysterious person that knows about the Morningstar and could give out tidbits of information."
"Exactly, and also you have to do some groundwork as well. Antoine will accompany you, you both will have to spy on the Saints. Hopefully, the Saints will reach out to you more and actually try to induct you in some way, that way you'll know what they're planning." Viola explained.
"It's worth a shot, it sounds difficult but after all, I did say yes." Eva lowered her gaze.
"Don't beat yourself about it, I got your back."
"Thanks, Viola."
"We'll talk later, I have some business to attend to for Philippe." Viola gave Eva a reassuring squeeze and walked away.
Eva felt a bit a better after talking to Viola about her new mission, she felt even better knowing that she and Antoine actually support her doing this and offered their help so far. She just hopes the plan to do this double agent thing will work out smoothly, but she knows that there will be more bullets and bloodshed to come, unfortunately.
