The following morning Eva woke up one hour earlier and got dressed in a black t-shirt, jean shorts, and sneakers. She packed her usual Morningstar attire in a gym bag and other necessities, while she waited for the twins she fixed herself a quick breakfast consisting of eggs and toast and continued to watch Shaundi's dating show, her cell phone vibrated as she got a text from Kiki. Eva quickly scarfed down the remainders of her breakfast and downed a glass of juice before heading out.
Viola and Kiki waited outside beside a black four-door "Justice", Eva greeted the twins before getting into the back seat with Philipe, while Kiki drove them to a disclosed location alongside the docks in Henry Steel Mills. The four of them got out and walked towards four Morningstar members waiting by four wooden crates with unknown surprises inside.
"I hope you're ready Miss Roman, I have in store for you today." Philipe walked alongside Eva as he cast his cigarette aside on the ground, Viola and Kiki followed behind the two until they were face to face with the other participants. "For your first challenge, I want to see if you capable of holding your own against multiple opponents, wielding any type of weapon." Viola handed Eva two pistols, an SMG, and an AK-47 as she led her to some cover before the challenge started.
"Whenever you're ready, just give us a signal." Viola left and joined Philipe and Kiki.
Eva loaded up her weapons and took several deep breaths as she walked out into the clear, arms ready. "I'm ready!" She held her finger over the triggers waiting for the right moment.
The four Morningstar members stepped from behind the crates and started shooting, bullets were coming at full speed towards Eva, she ducked and dodged the bullets until she found some cover. Philipe and the twins watched from a balcony and evaluated their candidate, Philipe looked overall impressed as he took out his cellphone and dialed Antoine's number.
"Yes, boss." Antoine greeted.
"You've seemed to have been a man of your word Antoine, Miss Roman has proven herself of use to me in the field." Philipe continued watching Eva from above.
"Do you mind if I come and watch the action?" Antoine asked as he quickly walked to his car from the bank.
"I don't see why not, after all, you recommended her, just be careful when you come in."
"Thank you, boss, I'll be there shortly."
"We're by the docks in Henry Steel Mills, across from the plaza." Philipe hung up the phone and continue to watch the action as he lit up a cigarette.
Kiki leaned over the balcony with a bored look on her face. "She's doing really good, being that she's never wielded a gun before."
"Good? She's talented and much more coordinated than any one of the other members down there, we need her." Viola defended.
"Since when have you been so interested in the new girl?" Kiki's eyes shifted in Viola's direction as she raised an eyebrow.
"Have some consideration, we were once new girls too in situations nowhere people didn't give us a chance, don't be one of them Kiki." Viola huffed as she turned back to watch Eva complete the challenges, Kiki rolled her eyes as she continued to watch as well, Philipe chuckled slightly as cigarette smoke escaped his lips.
After the smoke cleared only one Morningstar member remained, Eva and the woman were both sweaty, bloody, and ready to collapse until Philipe and the twins stopped the climax. "Well done Miss Roman, I'm impressed." Philipe handed her a towel in which Eva took to wash off the blood, dirt, and grime.
"I say I was blown away." Antoine complimented as he walked up to the group, Eva's eyes light up as she strolled over into Antoine's welcoming arms with exhaustion. "I told you, boss, she's strong and reliable, a true Morningstar." Antoine boasted proudly.
"Very well, Miss Roman welcome to the Syndicate," Philipe smirked as he gave Eva a firm handshake.
