Antoine cruised through the streets as he came upon Sunset Park, he drove straight up the road towards the tall penthouse in the distance. He parked in the garage and took the elevator up the penthouse floor.Eva, along with some other Morningstar members were setting up for the party tonight for their clients.
Antoine came strolling over to the bar next to Eva. "How's the setup coming along?"
"We're almost done, just need to restock the bar." Eva placed the expensive bottles of liquor back on the shelf. "You seem a bit tense, everything alright?"
"Yeah, we just have to make sure everything's good to go. Come walk with me a for second."
As the two walked, Eva couldn't help but notice Antoine looking her up and down. "Is something wrong?"
"Yes, your outfit."
"What's wrong with it?" Eva stopped and glanced down at her outfit, which was her usual Morningstar getup of a black suit, mini skirt, black stockings, and a red silk shirt.
"Being that you're transitioning to the more violet side of things, you can't be identified with us in any way, especially since you met a well known member the other day. So, no more wearing red clothing, even if it's subtle."
"Well, I don't have any other clothes with me."
"Yes you do, get rid of the shirt, and you'll be fine."
"Now you're just being a pervert."
"At least you're not wearing the usual Morningstar uniform, you tried on before."
"You got a point there." Eva glanced over at a female soldier, dressed in the Morningstar's official lingerie garb.
"I'm going to run a store real quick and find something else, since my suit won't do."
"Buy a pair of sunglasses too, can't be too careful tonight."
"Will do."
Eva took the elevator down to the parking garage and got in her car, she drove the nearest clothing store she could find, which was a Planet Saints. Since she couldn't wear red, she definitely couldn't purple at this event, so she would have to make do with the clothes they got there.
Back at the penthouse, the party officially started as the clients started pouring in. Antoine stayed posted up by the elevator, while he observed the festivities.
A fellow Morningstar soldier gave Antoine a nudge. "Hey Antoine, loosen up a bit man, it's unlike you to not at least have a drink."
"I've had a few shots earlier, I'm just keeping an eye out."
"Whatever you say man."
The sound of the elevator caught Antoine's attention, as he waited to see who was coming inside. As the doors opened, a few clients walked through chatting amongst themselves, however Antoine perked up as he heard a familiar voice.
"I'll see you downstairs later." Eva waved at a client that she walked in with.
"Eva?"
"Hey Antoine, what do you think?" Eva spun around in her new outfit, which was a gold satin top, black jeans, gold heels, and brown tinted sunglasses.
"Much better, you blend right in."
"You remembered to keep some heat on you?" Antoine pulled her in closer.
"I got it in my purse."
"Good."
"So we're just going to stand here posted up all night? I mean it is a party." Eva grabs Antoine's hand and leads him to the dance floor.
"I guess a little dancing couldn't hurt." Antoine smiled.
As the night continued, Eva and Antoine chatted up some clients on the couch. Eva noticed Antoine fidgeting more than usual and could tell that something was off. She excused herself and dragged Antoine with her off the side.
"Itching to get back on the dance floor?"
"It's not that, something just feels off."
"What, did someone spike your drink?"
"No, I didn't drink much this evening."
"Clients?"
"No, that's-
Before Antoine could finish, he was interrupted by the sound gunfire and screaming. He grabbed Eva and the two rushed over behind a wall. Eva glanced over by the pool outside to where the commotion was coming from, only to see a tall woman with bleached blonde hair wearing a white top and dark purple pants crashing in. She grabbed one of the Morningstar soldiers and held him at gunpoint.
"Damn! I knew it!" Antoine mentioned as he pulled out his gun.
"It's her, that the leader!" Eva added.
Antoine turned towards some of the gang members that were running up. "Get rid of that Saint!"
Without hesistation, they sprang into action firing their guns. The Saints leader was fearless as well as merciless as she tore through the oncoming members with ease. Eva couldn't help but watch her with awe.
"Come on, we got to get upstairs." Antoine grabbed Eva as he ran up the steps, dodging bullets and other people scrambling to get to safety.
Eva shoved passed panicked party-goers and stuck close the Antoine. She glanced back to see the Saint's leader who made her way inside the of the penthouse, firing back at the Morningstar members. As soon as she turns her head to see where Antoine was going, a guy twice her size collides into her, knocking her back into a wall, as she slams her head up against it.
The world went black as the sound faded. After some of the commotion died down, the Morningstar members that were there, were dead, as well as some of the clients that attended. Eva started to come to, as purple spots appeared blurry as the sound started to come back, she heard one distinctive voice amongst them, and it was Shaundi's.
She was on the phone with the Saints leader, conversing about a bomb. Lucky enough for her, she could blend in with some of the remaining clients who were still trying to get to safety.
"Here, let me help you up." A hand stretched out in front of her, Eva grabbed it and was brought to her feet.
As she straightened out her outfit and sunglasses, she looked up at the person who helped her. "Thanks."
"No problem, you should probably get out of here, it isn't safe."
"You're right about that." Eva noticed that the person who helped her was one of the Saints, in that moment she was glad that Antoine told her to buy sunglasses. Not that this particular person would remember her, but it was a good precaution to take.
"Have a nice night." Eva started to make her way towards the elevator.
"Get home safe." The Saint called out.
"I will." Eva called back.
She stepped inside of the elevator and pushed to go down to the lobby. Her cellphone vibrated against her side from her purse, as she walked out of the building, she pulled it out and answered it.
"Hello?"
"Eva! Thank god you're okay, where are you?" Antoine responded.
"I'm leaving the penthouse, I got mixed up in a crowd of people and knocked up against a wall, I passed out.
"Okay, do you see a small parking area near the building?"
"Yes."
"Walk through there and I'll come pick you up."
"Okay, but hurry my head is pounding."
It only took Antoine a few minutes to screech up to the parking lot. He was in a standard Morningstar Infuego this time, instead his own car. A male Morningstar soldier helped her into the back seat. Once she was settled, Antoine took off down the street, Eva could make out Antoine cursing up a blue streak in French before she drifted off again, as she could feel her heartbeat in her head.
