"I'm proud of you, mon amour!" Antoine squeezed Eva tightly as she winced in pain from the bleeding gash on her arm. "Oh sorry, let me take you to a hospital." Antoine helped Eva into his car and they drove to a nearby hospital, after an hour Eva was patched up and ready to leave. Antoine drove her back to his house where he prepared a dinner for the two them.
"Do you mind if I use your shower?" Eva asked as she sat uneasily in the chair grimacing at her filthy, bloody appearance.
"Sure," Antoine replied as he went into the kitchen.
Eva took her bag and went into the bathroom to shower. When she came back out she saw Antoine talking on the phone, apparently to Philippe due to the formal conversation. As he hung up he turned around to see Eva dressed in her usual Morningstar attire: a black blazer, blood red silk blouse, black leather skirt, and black red bottom pumps. Her hair was neatly pulled back into a low bun as her bangs covered her forehead.
"Perfect." Antoine complimented. "The boss wants us to meet him at this restaurant to celebrate your success into the Morningstar. Antoine rushed Eva outside and into the car as they drove to the restaurant, once inside they saw Viola wave them over to their private booth.
The restaurant was of French origin as the waiters mainly spoke in French, the atmosphere of the place had a wealthy weight and pompous feeling as Eva saw numerous patrons nicely dressed in expensive clothing. Eva and Antoine were greeted by Phillipe, Viola and Kiki sat next to him like always while Eva and Antoine sat across from them, the waiter served a bottle of their best wine and poured them a half of glass. Phillipe raised his glass as his the rest followed.
"Miss Roman I want to congratulate you on your success, and I want to officially welcome you to the Morningstar, cheers to you and I wish you the best here." Phillipe and the others clinked their glasses and took a sip of the sweet wine. Eva's eyes drifted towards Antoine who smiled and squeezed her hand, she really didn't know how to accept the induction into the gang, it's not like she had a choice it was either that, death or working as a sex slave.
She didn't want to make her life unbearable so she accepted the offer, Phillipe seemed to appreciate her as well as Antoine, the twins seemed indifferent about the decision but it's not like they'll be working side by side as they are constantly by Phillipe's side every minute. But the Morningstar had its benefits, from the luxury cars and wealthy lifestyle, Eva was financially secure being that Viola helped her open her own bank account in Steelport, and that Phillipe bought her an apartment and car, she was constantly protected by other Morningstar members, mainly Antoine who constantly watched over her. Up until now, she didn't think about the Saints, but the postponed dream of confiding in the Saints as her way out never left her mind.
Eva retired to her bed after the celebration dinner, she turned on the radio and listened to the upcoming newscast.
"For the employees of Planet Saints, today was an exciting and dangerous day as a gunfight ensued between the leader of the 3rd Street Saints along with Japanese commercial superstar Pierce Washington and some members of the Syndicate. The battle died down after a while when the gangsters dispersed. This is Jane Valderamma with your Steelport news."
After listening to a couple songs Eva drifted off to sleep, dreaming and plotting her personal mission to be involved with the Saints.
