Down the rabbit hole

Clara was a regular teen living in Scotland, 2014. She has dark chocolate hair and soft aqua eyes. She went to school on the weekdays and came trudging home with piles of homework.
She had no boyfriend, no friends.
Just her mother.
Nothing special,
Nothing important.

Clara laid in the tall grass of her backyard, staring at the sky as music blasted in her ears from her iPhone.
'I wonder what it's like' she thought. 'the universe.' Clara smiled at the thought of floating aimlessly in the dark void.

Far away...

Blood Dupre sits politely at a table waiting for the other territory leaders to show up.
"Boss, are you sure that this is the girl?" Elliot asks tossing a crumpled picture of a woman on the table.
"Yes. now, shut up. White and the queen should show up any maki ute now. The same with Gowland."

Back to Clara.

A rustling came from a nearby bush that led into the small woods behind her house. I simply closed my eyes to blot out the noise.

"Hey."

Clearly that was a figment of her imagination, because no bush can talk.
"Pssst. Hey, wake up Clara."

This time Clara whizzed her head around to find a small rabbit that was standing upright! Not to mention the maroon waistcoat fit snug on his body. She began to scoot away, dragging her iPhone by the headset chord.

"W-What are you!?" She yelled only loud enough for the rabbit to hear. The snow white rabbit bowed.

"Peter White, and I need you to come with me." He explained quickly.

"I don't care if you need me to come with you." She grabbed the electronic from the ground and headed for the glass door to her house."I'm not leaving." Clara said. Suddenly, she was plucked from the ground and carried away, into the deep forest.

"What the HELL?!?!" she cried, trying to wriggle free from the kidnappers' grasp. She noticed a pair of white rabbit ears. Could it really be? Clara gasped as she took in the man that was now before her.

Not only was the boy's ears white, but his hair as well! Cut short, yet long enough to let some locks flow in all directions as he bounded through the shaded willows. His eyes were framed by big oval glasses that had fallen down his nose slightly. The rabbit's waistcoat still secure on his chest with a large pocket watch sticking out next to a maroon tie around his neck. Her eyes grow wide as he shoves her down a hole in the ground.
"And down the rabbit hole we goooooo!!" Peter laughs as he jumps down after her.

"IM GONNA DIE!!!" Clara screams as she covers her face with her hands.
"Not while I'm here. I'll catch you." He smiled warmly, reaching out to hug her mid-air. He wrapped his hands around her waist, causing Clara to shove him away. Peter became worried and reached out for her again.

"Wait! you can't be that far away from me! you'll be transported to a different part of the country!" Peter warned, begging her to grab his hand. Clara scooted away.

'Finally free.' Clara smiled as darkness took over her vision.

"....you okay?" A voice rang in Clara's left ear. with all of her might, she opened her eyes, hoping to be home in her backyard, Scotland.

"Oh, your alive." The voice chirped.

Nope.

"Here, let me help you up." He grabbed her arm and steadily pulled her to her feet.

"Thanks." She murmured.

"No problem! I'm Ace." Ace introduced himself. Clara shook his hand and noticed his long red trench coat that was tattered at the ends.
"What happened to your coat?" She asked, looking directly into his crimson red eyes.

"What's wrong with it?" He answered, slightly confused with the question.

"Nothing.." Clara regretted the question. He began to take off the coat to reveal a black button shirt. One side of the shirt folded over the other, causing the collar to stick up.

"Here.." Ace placed the coat on her shoulders, instantly shielding her from the cold wind. He turned in a random direction and called back to her.

"I have to go! Just give the coat to Julius. He'll give it back to me!"
With that, he vanished. Leaving Clara alone on the one dirt path.

Not as far away, but still far away...

"Your majesty," white approached Vivaldi, bowing slightly. Blood grew impatient.
"So Peter, where is this new pawn in the game..?" He asked emotionlessly. Peter White glared at him, causing Elliot to stand ready for White to try and pull the trigger.

Seriously.

"Her name is Clara. And I wouldn't be one to talk about pawns in this game... after all, you are the Mafia Boss. Anyway, I lost her on the way in." Peter sneered, edging Blood Dupre on.
"Boys, boys." Vivaldi sighed, bored by the meeting." Just send out a search team for your half of the territory, and we will do the same." The Queen of Hearts stood up out of her seat and began walking back to the castle through the gardens filled with red roses.

Back to Clara...

"What is this place?" She thought out loud. The path seemed endless in each direction, and who knows who she'd find at the end of the road. She shrugged. Anywhere would be better than in the forest with nothing to go on except a path. Clara stepped to the side of the gravel road to figure out which way to go.

'Right or left?'

To her, the choice could change her life. Gunshots rang out from her left and she quickly chose to go right. One choice she had made out of fear.
The path was long and had many twists and turns, but she kept walking.
She kept walking for her worried mother.

For her only friend, Rachel.

To not be lost in confusion.

She shivered as a gust of wind blasted her back once more. This time, she clutched Ace's trench coat once more. Clara let her mind wander, unable to notice that noon had become nightfall quicker than it should have. She was beginning to grow tired when she spotted a giant clock tower a mile away.

"Finally! PROGRESS!" She laughed and hurried towards it.
She knocked three times on the door, trying to be polite as possible, but was uncertain of who would live in a clock tower.
The door opened to show a young man with deep blue eyes that were framed by rectangular glasses.

"Can I help you?" He asked awkwardly.
His hair was very different to Ace's short brown hair and White's short pure white hair, it was long, wavy, and indigo. Most of it was pulled back into a loose ponytail, but some hair draped across his face. His trench coat was much like Ace's, but the cuffs almost hide his hands. The man's tie seemed like a steampunk design, a clock hanging off the side like his belt, except that pocket watch weighed the belt down.

"That's Ace's jacket, where did you get it?" He began to grow worried. Clara swayed on her feet as the man let her into the tower. She stood; still unable to trust him.

"I'm Julius. Julius Monrey. and you are?" He took a seat at a desk cluttered with broken watches and parts and tools. Clara swayed dangerously to the left before her legs gave way.

Julius reacted quickly and caught the strange girl before she hit the floor. He gingerly took the knight's coat off of her shoulders and placed her in bed.
He sighed.

'Back to work.'
