Clara didn't go back to the clock tower for two time phases, and she felt bad about this. Julius must have worried deeply about her. She raced back to the clock tower, a small indigo box securely in her arms.
"Hey!" Clara opened the door, a smile growing on her face. Julius was busy at work.
"Hello." He mumbled, keeping his eyes glued to the watch. He had been working the whole time nonstop, and he felt very tired.
"Wow, how'd you get so many?" She asked.
"There was a execution of one hundred servants because they began talking bad about the Queen."
"Oh...." Clara awkwardly set the box down on the desk. She picked up a clock and began fixing. Julius looked up, confusion on his face.
"You don't have to." He assured.
"Well, I want to! That way, you'll be able to relax!" Clara chirped, a smile growing in her face. By the end of the time period, they had gotten seventy of the clocks working and into a new body. Clara wiped the sweat from her forehead and laughed. Julius went to get them a cup of coffee. They sat down at the table.
"Boris began humming a strange tune during the meeting. He said that you had a device that could play music." Julius wanted to study the strange device.
"My iPhone?" Clara laughed. She pulled the rectangular device out and began tapping at the screen. Julius couldn't help but look across the table at the amazing ingenuity. Clara tapped a song and turned down the volume some.
You shout aloud, but I can't hear a word you say. I'm talking loud, not saying much. I'm criticized, but all your bullets ricochet. Shoot me down, but I get up.
I'm bullet proof, nothing to lose, fire away, fire away. Ricochet, you take your aim, fire away, fire away. You shoot me down, but I get up, I am titanium. Shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium.
Cut me down, but it's you who have furthered to fall. Ghost town, haunted love. Raise you voice, sticks and stones may break my bones. I'm talking loud, not saying much.
I'm bullet proof, nothing to lose, fire away, fire away. Ricochet, you take your aim, fire away, fire away. You shoot me down, but I get up, I am titanium. Shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium. I am titanium. I am titanium.
Stone heart, machine gun, firing at the ones who run. Stone heart, I'm bullet proof.
I'm titanium. Shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium. Shoot me down, but I get up, I am titanium. Shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium...
Julius had never seen a device play such a simple and lovely melody. He closed his eyes and let the music flow over him. He knew that she was the one...
..The one to change the country.
"I made you this!" Clara pushed the indigo box towards the clockmaker. He rolled his eyes and opened it. His eyes widened. Inside, was a indigo tux with golden thread designs of clock parts. Laying atop the suit, a sparkling golden hoop earring made to look like a clock was 0clipped to a earring holder.
"Well, I got Vivaldi to help, but I made the earring myself!" She proudly stated.
"..Why?" He asked, holding the silky cloth in his hands. Clara tipped her head to the side, she didn't get the question. "Being friends with me means no one likes you." He explained. No one liked him because no one liked his role. People thought fixing people's lives is just...horrible.
"Well, I don't care what others think." Clara smiled. This touched the clockmaker's heart. He couldn't help it. He had fallen in love with Clara just like everyone else. His eyes widened.
"Why don't you go to the Mansion for awhile?" He asked, folding the suit back up and taking the box into his room. "I'll finish the rest of he clocks later." He assured her. She nodded and started out the door. Once a fair distended away from the tower, Julius looked back at the suit, and tears began to form. One by one, they fell to the ground.
"Clara!" The twins cheered, jumping up from their place by the gate. They had been sitting for two time periods playing endless games of tic-tac-toe. She waved to them, her other hand behind her back.
"I have a surprise." Clara's smile widened as the two jumped up and down. She held out two butterfly knives, one blue and the other red. the twins took their knife that matched their uniform color.
"Sweet big sis!" They began furiously whipping the knife around, doing impossible tricks.
"Hey Clara." Elliot casually walked up to the bush Clara was behind. They had decided to take a look around the garden and play an interesting match of hide and seek.
"Sup." She whispered from behind the bush. Standing up, she pulled a piece of paper from her pocket. Elliot stared at it for a moment. Clara giggled and urged him to take it.
"What's this for?" He smiled. Clara explained that it was a recipe for an amazing carrot cake her mother used to make. Elliot's eyes lightened up at the mention of carrot cake. See, Elliot is a rabbit, but he doesn't eat raw carrots or call himself a rabbit. He eats carrot dishes, he emphasizes. Anything from carrot stew to carrot bread.
"Again, what's this for? Why are you giving me this now?" He asked once again. Clara looked at the ground, thumbing her sweatshirt nervously.
"You see, back in my world, it's Christmas. It's a time where you give gifts to your friends and have a happy time." She smiled up at Elliot. His ears perked up. Christmas? How come he's never heard of it? "You're my friend so I'm giving you a gift!" Elliot smiled. How could anyone want to kill her?
"Well, I heard tis better to give than to receive." He stated.
No one could know,
No one could prepare,
For who could stop the speeding bullet?
